This is a major problem. Over 75 cases in just a matter of weeks, with 9 new cases overnight suggesting an escalation in spread. However, this is not out in the bush or desert somewhere, this is happening in the capital of Uganda, Kampala. A major city and an international travel hub given that it sits on Lake Victoria.

The president initially went full Trump denial, but has since reversed course and is ordering major lockdowns in the two largest districts in the country. With at least 75 confirmed cases and 28 deaths from the Sudan-strain. There is no known effective vaccine against the Sudan strain.

Also, some worrisome reports are actively being investigated by the WHO and US CDC that people who are in the hospital but have had no direct contact with patients have developed symptoms. This would mean a potential evolution of the virus into something that can survive in the air!!

This virus is not capable of mutating into a airbourne virus like COVID. They most likely came into contact with infected fluids. Unlike COVID in 2020, this virus has been studied and is well understood. I wouldnt worry about it.

We know very little about Ebola, its origins and the various strains.

100 years of studying the flu and we cannot say for certain if it is spread via aerosols or droplets, yet you can make a definitive statement about something we know almost nothing about?

Is this your area of study?? Just curious.

One of the finest good governance accomplishments of the Obama Administration, although timing and identity, combined with ISIS, really impacted the 2014 midterms
