    I like the traditional…

I wouldn’t mind seeing it go too two years in Jax then one on campus.

It will probably stay in Jax unless the addition of Tx and Ok changes things to pods. Then all bets are off.

Jax has been great hosts for this game over the years. I have attended many of them, off and on since 1958. Remember staying at the Jack Tar Hotel once during the game weekend. That was the place to be back then.
I hope the game stays there but we will see.

Not to hijack, but I have thought for quite some time we should stop the UGa game in Jax and make it the FSU game. Not that many fans are hanging out for the whole weekend so that Jax gets this large influx of money. And besides, it now has the Jags. FSU fans could arrive for the day and then head back home. Not much different than a home game now.

It really doesn't matter to me, but I do like the tradition of the game being in Jax, and there are few games like it on a national level.

Something about that statement tells me it goes home and home when the SEC goes to 9 SEC games.

More than anything, I hope this is a tone-changing game. Even if we lose, I'd like to see us play like we're turning around, not shriveling up.

The part I like about Jax is our history/record in the game, which has taken a bit of a hit. I don't think home-and-home would hurt much. They could certainly rotate Jax/Atl and it would be similar.

Another reason why I can't stand that pods divisions BS that these clowns are going to force upon the SEC.

Bring Auburn the the SEC East and let Texas and Oklahoma in the SEC West and all will be just fine. If the SEC office really wanted to have teams like Bama and the Gators or Bama and UGA play more often than once every 10 years they could have scheduled that to happen years ago, with a 9 SEC game schedule.

But they didn't, and now they blame their previous scheduling fallacy as the reason why we need pods instead of two divisions. Which is straight up BS, IMO.

College football is ALL ABOUT TRADITIONS... and these idiots are about to crush several traditions by "fixing" something that is NOT BROKEN.

  11. We should not let the addition of new teams destroy the few remaining SEC traditions, especially one as special as the Cocktail Party. We already lost rivalry games with Miami and Auburn. I am fine with progress, but the Cocktail Party is our oldest tradition and is considered to be one of the top ten FBS rivalries in America (many of teams in older rivalries are no longer FBS).

I see no reason to move the game from Jax. I think KS is very small for spending so much effort trying to move it.

I’ll have to think on that for a spell tegator80. Seems like it would be a “comedown” for us. It would be hard to replace Florida/Georgia.
    Gotta admit, an interesting idea.

I would just like a Clock Management coordinator to be named prior to the game.

Pretty sure the plan is no divisions at all, 3 permanent opponents and 6 rotating.

You mean no pods either... just 16 teams and some arcane rotation of teams?

KS is all in on recruiting. He sees JAX as a huge wasted recruiting weekend. Can only give them tickets, no interaction, no selling the environment, etc. For one of the biggest games of the year against a bitter rival.

KS will get what he wants. If UF wants to keep it in JAX every other year, so be it. But the UGA home games will move to Athens. Bank it.

Probably right since he has been vocal in wanting to leave Jacksonville.

However, I'm also reminded of the old saying, "Be careful what you wish for."
