    #25 Schiekofer LF

on plays where Lastres or Heyman fielded the ball the call of out/safe was based on whether a normal fielder would have completed the play with a throw.

Freshman lefties Arroyo and Fisher both work very fast and throw lots of strikes. Sully has to be pleased.

Much thanks for the great info.
Sounds like Sproat is still getting it done. He has been very consistent so far. I'm wondering what your opinion of Waldrep has been so far. I've seen him twice and read the other reports here. He seems good but always gives up a run or two and several other hard hit balls in each appearance. I think he is a weekend starter but is not close to challenging Sproat.
    So far....

    Agreed 87–
It reads like he brings plenty of talent/ability to the mound—hopefully he is learning to pitch successfully in the SEC during this process.

Without going back to each one of these, how is Langford hitting? Same as last year?

Also, is Kurland really that good? Every time it seems like he get an X base hit. Also where is that transfer 2B?

Exactly correct thinking there 350. WL is still hitting plenty of line drives but not as many are finding holes yet. I saw him hit one out the first day but it doesn't sound like he has connected on many others. Kurland looks to me to have a knack of getting on with a bat in his hands. I think it says a lot that Sully is keeping him in the two spot right behind Langford in many of the scrimmages. The transfer Thomas sat one the last practice I was at but I noticed he is back in the last update. I love his defense but still haven't seen him get going at the plate. So far in limited viewing I 'd say he is probably a 250 hitter and Kurland can bat near 300 up until SEC play.

Fabian not in the starting lineup for either team. Interesting.

He got HBP the other day in scrimmage in his face (nose I think) and from what I’ve seen he’s probably done for the fall
