Just curious, the last time I asked this forum has never convinced the other side to switch. If anyone on here is voting for the other side this time, what are your reasons for switching?
I’ll likely vote for Deb Silcox (R) in the GA state senate, she’s a decent person and has done a good job. Wish Kemp didn’t tack so far right on social issues-he’s done an outstanding job with GA’s economy and business development, but the absolute first thing he did here in ‘18 was champion the heartbeat bill, which was hardly the State’s biggest problem.
I just got my ballot yesterday. Lot of fun. We get to vote to legalize psychedelics & making alcohol delivery permanently legal. I have not voted D or R at any level for 32 years. I see no reason to waste my vote.
I donated to a Republican state rep that I think has done a good job. Not my district and won’t be competitive in the general anyway. There is also a Republican county commissioner that I will vote for.
A month ago I planned to vote for a dem in a county race. But they have jumped into bed with SemDems and are going to lose my support.
My district (Virginia 8th) is so strongly Democratic that the Republican candidate for the House hasn't even bothered to campaign. To the best of my knowledge she hasn't run a single television commercial nor has she bothered sending any campaign fliers.
she has a lot of signs in my neighborhood. I went to her website to check out her policy positions and it’s a bunch of right wing boogeyman stuff. “I oppose ‘defund the police’.” Yeah, so does Beyer, from the beginning of the movement. Seems like she’s not trying that hard.
Spider Dog says she heard Biden say if you don't vote for me you ain't canine. She is registered Democrat but only because they won't let her register if she tries to register Republican so she will be voting for the other party.
It depends. I would love to have Slick Willy back with a pub house. That's the last time we actually had a budget surplus. A few years ago a kid ran in NC as Deez Nuts and had I lived in NC at the time I would have voted him just for the heck of it. I think he ended up with 15% of the vote. I thought it was hilarious.
