He appeared to be on a path upward a few years ago, not now. Charlotte fires Will Healy after 1-7 start ensures third straight losing season, per reports
^^^That is interesting in the sense the Charlotte AD is Mike Hill who spent 25 years in the UF athletic department under Jeremy Foley.
Says Hill, "We needed to make a change. We aspire to reach our ceiling in North Carolina as its UCF, a pretender with a BIG mouth!" Good luck. 1-7 isn't ideal, but finding "that guy" is going to be tough.
David Shaw (Stanford) should be in the top 2 or 3. And Miami is stuck with not so super Mario brother Cristobal.
Bronco Mendenhall tried to come east and found out what that was all about, but he strikes me as a coach that might do better out west.
Iowa is the school that should get in on that, tell Ferentz to fire his kid or thank him for his 24 years but it's time to move on.
I kinda agree… while he finished with a losing record, he did win the division one year at UVA. He was also 1-3 in bowl games. The one win was against the Gamecocks with Chump as HC… it’s hard to win at UVA. With that being said I believe I’d take Colorado football over Nebraska. I still don’t understand how Colorado can’t win in football. Boulder is gorgeous and to me it would be a better job then Nebraska. I mean to me if Utah can build a pretty good program, then no reason Colorado can’t.
A friend who’s a big Iowa fan said he sees Iowa and Ferentz as a couple whose marriage soured years ago, but they continue to stay together because it’s easier than breaking up.
The long knifes are out for Ferentz, that’s what happens when you just hang around too long. College football fans call for legendary B1G coach to be fired
