I don't think you can make predictions based on an exhibition game against an inferior opponent. There were bright spots and some surprises. Sarah Longley did most of the catching, which is probably a surprise to most. She acquitted herself pretty well. She has a very strong arm but was inaccurate a couple of times. Bryn and Sam did the rest of the catching. CTW is always coaching. We throw the ball to first on most strikeouts in case there is a question if it is a strikeout. (with no one on base) JU had the bases loaded Smiley was definitely there.
I couldn't agree more...and I prefaced my comments with "from a sample size of one" to make that very point. But not having all the facts has never stopped me from having an opinion.
24......will be with Oxley and Layla Lamar. Great follow up class to what should be the monster 23 class
Considered by some number 2 recruit in 2024 class with offers from basically everyone in the country. She is good enough to also get a track & field college scholarship. Hard to believe but she could very well be the fastest player if she was on this current UF roster right now.
You are not getting what I’m saying. She maybe even faster than those two players. That is the type of potential athlete that is coming in the next few years.
Wllace may be the best baserunner in the country, but she probably isn't nearly as "fast" as a ton of players

Thomas is an outfielder on Texas Blaze United 16U. In July, she recorded a .562 batting average and racked up 51 stolen bases. “Townsen has more natural athletic ability than any player I’ve ever coached, and she works constantly to improve her game,” her coach said. “She’s coachable, a good teammate, and, even with her success, remains humble. Townsen has dreams of making it to the USA National team one day, and I have no doubt she will!” My favorite softball memory is when we went to PGF second year 10U with intensity and placed 2nd,” she said. “I got started with softball when I got a toy where I could hit the ball off of the tee and it would come back, one Christmas.” Townsen doesn’t just excel on the field. The Texan is a multi-sport athlete participating in basketball and track. In 2019, Townsen was ranked 5th in the triple jump and 9th in the 100-meter hurdles nationally. From all of us at the Alliance and the TFL, congratulations to Townsen Thomas for her achievements. What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program? The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month. Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
