The implication you seemed to make in the post below is that "Republicans" are putting party before truth and law by removing Liz Cheney and that this is a move unique to Republicans. If that is not the case, then say so. This whole post is picking on Republicans as though the issues you're complaining about are unique to Republicans and not the norm in politics.
I don’t claim to know the answer. But I’m not the type to tattle on a teacher. Principals are overwhelmed by so many whiny parents. Not our style. I’m lucky my children are open and transparent with us. There are lots of children who don’t know any better and are able to be manipulated by teachers.
SCOTUS has been very balanced until Trump. Roberts and Scalia (RIP) were the moderate republicans. When one party wins the presidency, typically his party loses the house/senate which created balance. Now it just creates gridlock. You can't stand in judgement when a once in 100 year pandemic hits, it was erroring on the side of caution. Not a terrible thing. You should switch the role on your last sentence, and then think about it. If and when a dem governor does the same thing, because they can, we'll be screaming about overreach again. True I didn’t say that or imply that. You made that up. While politicians are politicians, in following 50 years of politics I’ve never seen anything quite like this from either party. But to be clear, I don’t think politicians are any different. They are people. What is different is the voters - and in the case of the Republican Party it has been infected with this whole MAGA thing, and most Republican voters demand adherence to MAGA. While there are some crazy democrats on the left, they as a group don’t suffer from quite the level of mass delusion as Republicans do. But whatever the case, that isn’t the point. I summarized what you said as party over truth and the law. I think my summation is correct. “But Democrats!!” is a complete side issue.
