I don't think it's the channel, it's the day of the week. All of those guys play on Sundays now.

My point is that Trask when he first took the field after Franks was injured was a much better QB than AR is right now and I don't think its close. Our WR were certainly better then than they are now, but Trask elevated the play of his receivers in a way that AR has not. I just remember the angst prior to Trask taking over at QB about how our WR's couldn't get open. What a joke, huh?

Does all that mean I think AR should be a TE...absolutely not. He can be a good QB, but he needs lots of time and practice. The worst thing for him would be to go to the NFL after this season, he might get paid some, but the pros aren't really known for being patient with developing a QB.

If you watch Kyle, he normally got to #1 or #2 option and the ball was out, sometimes into unfavorable coverage. But he had those transcendent WRs, who would steal a step or make a catch that others couldn't.

I'm not saying Kyle couldn't/won't be able to go deep into his progressions, just that he didn't. Likely because he didn't have to. When he made a throw, he had the confidence that the guy would get it.

What I think the Oklahoma game showed was when those guys aren't there you need to be more judicious with your choices, because you don't have 1st round talent out there making the plays. If I give AR credit for anything, it's being great about waiting to find someone open. Now sometimes that bites you, you take a sack you shouldn't. But it also limits the kinds of passes I see all the time by jumpy QBs who aren't great at judging separation and/or knowing their WRs.

AR doesn't do it always, I should note. But often. Watch the tape, he looks, moves on, looks, moves on quite a bit in a game. He's great at that. Not at everything, and he's not the QB that Kyle Trask was. (although I hope he becomes all that and more)

Total respect for Kyle. He's a great QB and one of our all-time best.

In fact, you can see a very similar thing in Rex from 2001 to 2002. He made a lot of the same throws that worked when he was throwing to Gaffney or Caldwell.

I don’t think it’s hard to figure out. You did attend a top 5 public uni. I would assume you posses suffice critical thinking skills by seeing historically who the qbs are that are suggested they should play a skill position instead of qb

If he gave him the ball or ran himself more often I could see it being effective, but to just hand it off the tge running back every single time fools no one

Trask didn’t have to go through too far in his progressions as he could get the ball into the smallest opportunity. He hit passes that most qbs would look elsewhere. The game he had against Bama was a lot of contested completions that most qbs would not have thrown.

Lots of disrespect for a guy who may be the highest drafted Gator QB ever

UF never had a realistic shot at the playoffs this year. With Richardson back next year it’s a real possibility. He’s a talented inexperienced QB. Basically a freshman on the field.

What if you paired Mullen with a really solid DC?..

Still think he wouldn’t have gotten it done?

Funny how after the first game many poster chastised Mullen because to them at that time it was obvious that Mullen was an idiot and just being loyal to EJ, and another sign he was a shitty coach…

I think it’s going to take longer to restore the defense. We’re at least 2 years away still.

Question is, is it a coaching issue or are they simplifying the plays for the personnel?

If you could have put Kyles touch and head on AR's body...
