President Biden asked why he wants 53 senators after the midterms: "I'm just getting greedy."not greedy, senile if he thinks even 50
53? It’s going to be 51. At one point I thought 52 but Nevada is too close to call. Not sure where 53rd would come from? I guess Ohio?
I would go for 99. That way, you win every vote, but there’s still one opponent whose face you can rub it in.
53 seems unlikely. They'd have to win three of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida without losing any seats.
Gonna be tough to hold serve, much less pick up seats. Some of these states, like GA, with a 3d party candidate, could end up in a runoff.
I don't mean to pry on anyone's entertainment, but this is why I don't post on "these kind of threads" during "these times". Well, except now. No one can prove a negative. And that goes to all sides. And so I will just say...to all sides... we shall see. And then we get the "the elections were ROBBED!" threads. Yay!!!
The vote doesn't matter, though, right? Biden can just keep insisting 53 Democratic senators won for years to come, I'm sure Trumpsters won't find anything wrong with that...
Ohh, they aren't smoking anything..they are mainlining 100% pure unadulterated hopium. I just remind them to set aside some cash and keep one vein free as come election night they are going to need to switch over to copium.
My guess is 51 or 52. Fetterman manages to flip PA in a very close election with educated women in suburban Philadelphia making the difference based on the abortion issue; Cortez Masto holds her seat in Nevada thanks to the ability of unions especially the Culinary Workers Union to turn out their members; and Warnock wins a close one in Georgia thanks to Stacey Abrams ability to turnout the Black vote. While it won't help her in her own election (she's essentially dead meat in her election against Kemp) it will make the difference like it did in the 2020 senatorial runoffs.
