6 months ago most of us wrote down a victory against FSU. Almost was a sure thing. But now I don't know if we will even be favored. Most consider a toss up. If FSU wins, I might have you re-think my impressions of Norvell.
Shouldn't be a huge shock. Norvell's third year. Most prognosticators had UF as 6-6 going in to the season. Game is in Tallahassee. As usual I drank the gatoraide during the preseason. AR is not going to win the Heisman nor make it to NY nor even be considered, as some of us hoped. UF's defense has not improved a lick and many say we have digressed. Hopefully we get it done but IMO Travis is better than AR, at least right now.
It might be a close game but....fsu sucks. If LSU had shot themselves in the foot repeatedly like they did vs fsu we would have beaten them by 14. They will be 6-5 at best...of course we will as well
Most of our fans are delusional. They almost beat us last year. Not sure why anyone thought this game was an automatic W to begin with.
They never had a lead and they kept it from being a 10-point win within the last 50 seconds. I think you could argue we took our foot off the gas once up 24-7 but I certainly wouldn't call it a near loss.
12-16 overall record. 8-13 conference record. 4-3 start in year 3 of him at the helm. Yeah....it's about what I thought.
AR will have to be really on for that game, even so, it's going to be high scoring for both D are terrible.
Not that comparative scores mean anything, but they did beat LSU or more accurately LSU lost to them. Still think Gators win tho.
I agree with you - coin flip game. Disagree with you about Norvell - he's not a bad coach but they need a lot more than average to fix the stink over there. He has to overcome the fact that every team in the ACC is in trouble with upcoming mergers into SEC and BIG 10. Clemson and North Carolina schools are ahead of them in line for joining super conferences.
I don't think discipline will be an issue, but playing 3 out of the last 4 on the road won't be easy (regardless of who you play).
