Your opinion is always just disagreeing with whatever I post, and even on music, your terrible taste was revealed. You probably support Tottenham too.

What is the purpose of having girls and guys sports if biological males can compete in girls sports? You took the participation reason and turned it on its head. The inclusion of biological males in women's sports, that have been modified for the differences of women, completely negates the whole purpose of having separate sports. Having males in womens sports could essentially make sports less inclusive for women.

    So
If girls can play guys sports with nonissues why the big push for trans athletes on the girls team. They can play with the boys and be just fine.Right?
In at least some cases the trans athlete could not compete with the boys and found it easier to dominate the girls. Hmmm much like this volleyball player. Again, she could play with the boys.. as so many here have defended… and that would be fairer and safer for all involved.

It has nothing to do with “homophobia”. Are you saying trans people are gay? You just surrendered your woke card. You need to ask for forgiveness, take a break, and contemplate the pain you have caused.

I think those are fair points on the fairness side of the issue. But part of me wonders why sports like bowling and darts are segregated. Even chess has some female-only competitions, and that can't be about disparities in height, strength, or power. I think the fairness arguments wrt transgender competitors in sports like that are quite different than sports like weightlifting or MMA. I think safety issues also fall along a bit of a spectrum.

The purpose is letting people who identify as girls compete in girls sports, not to let "males" play girls sports. We've already seen how people determined to police this operate, it becomes even more invasive, like tracking menstruation or wanting to do genital inspections. When you get to higher level sports where competition matters, then reasonable restrictions make sense. If you want to police gender in sports where participation is what matters then you get this stuff:

    https://www.wptv.com/news/education...orida-high-school-athletic-form-face-scrutiny

Dont you think having to report your menstrual cycles or submit to invasive inspections might make girls sports less inclusive, or have parents be less inclined to let their kids participate too?

As to chess, I don’t know. Perhaps it is environmental or cultural. Or perhaps, God forbid, as Larry Summers thought out loud, that maybe there is some biological reason men tend to gravitate to math like fields (and chess by extension). Or I have heard it theorized that in the intelligence realm, men tend to have a wider spectrum - more people on the really low end, and more on the extreme high end. Maybe the second “X” chromosome tends to compensate for extremes on the other? (I’m not a biologist and that is probably obvious to anyone who is)

It isn’t the most credible news source. How do we even know this is a trans person? The video quality is super low res (and for some reason this person is recording the footage off what appears to be a tablet screen). Could just be an elite girl VB player playing against your typical small town school.

Seems even the most lacking story (literally with zero factual details or context at all) is enough to get the homophobes riled up. Maybe it is a trans, but even if it is doesn’t seem like much facts to run a story with.

You didn’t answer the question. What is the purpose of having womens sports if you are going to allow biological males? There must be a reason for womens sports. What is it?

Again. Meaningless posting. The reason you won’t spell out your criticism is because it is junk. But I’ll be clear:

This is the eleventy hundred trans thread posted by a homophobic group of right wing men who are likely super insecure about their own sexuality.

There are more trans laws in the country than trans people, probably more trans threads on here than trans athletes. The obsession from the right wing on a tiny marginalized group is cruel.

Having said that no one disagrees with segregation of gender/sex for competitive fairness. The difference is liberals think the athletic body can handle it and right wing nuts want to legislate to make a point and bully.

Im saying the obsession of right wingers on trans people is a product of homophobia. Doesn’t assume anything about trans folks, my opinion assumes quite a bit about the obsession on here and the motivations for it by posters.

Hiwasse has a 3-18 record so probably not the best athletes on the floor to begin with. Highlands is 12-9 and only one team has forfeited to them - Hiwasse Dam.

Whats the purpose of girls bathrooms? Is it accomodation or to heavily police who can use them? Why arent there guards outside checking private parts to enter?

I didn't have a girl :( but I do have three sons who played multiple sports. I'll admit, I can't take a stance on this trans playing sports thing, because I am ignorant to a lot of the facts. When my boys did play from about 5th grade to their senior year in HS, there were guys their age that were physically larger than them, and stronger. Things happened. :emoji_expressionless:

Putting aside the mixed up terminology, you are making assumptions here. For some you may be correct, it is outright bigotry and they are just stoking the flames of cultural wars. For others, like myself, who I’d defy being characterized as “right wing”, it is about the simple facts of the situation.

When you go so far as to assert girls=boys then you have entered a similar delusional bubble as those who whine about stolen elections and partisan pedophile rings.

People like Meghan McCain are despicable. The problem is many on the left are taking the bait and reacting with emotional non facts based reactions that make them look like delusional idiots. The result now with this issue it does gain some traction among centrists.
