So the CDC is voting to add the covid vaccine for inclusion in routine child vaccination programs. This will then have states mandating the vaccine. Insane. Zero reason to require this. Would save more kids if the mandated the flu vaccine. Just next level stupid.

Trump’s problem is that he didn’t downplay pan-panic enough.

Most states will ignore this insanity. I feel for the kids and parents that live in a community with leaders dumb enough to listen to this garbage from the cdc…

I was told emphatically on here the covid vax would never be mandated for kids.

They are either too far indoctrinated by the propaganda. Or just too arrogant to admit they were wrong. Probably a combination of both. As I think that is part of what is going on with the cdc. These people are arrogant tyrants. But they are starting to push too far.

It really sucks for public health and the doctors on the front lines. They now have to find other ways to get reliable advice and data.

CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky comes down with COVID a month after booster (nypost.com)

The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has tested positive for COVID-19 — one month after she publicly celebrated getting her booster shot.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, who tested positive Friday night, is “experiencing mild symptoms,” according to a release posted to social media. “She is isolating at home and will participate in her planned meetings virtually.”

On Sept. 22, Walensky tweeted a picture of herself getting jabbed with an updated version of the COVID-19 shot, along with a message urging others to follow her lead.

It really should concern people that our Doctors on the front lines have morons like Walensky pushing this nonsense. Got to love the mild symptoms BS. She is plenty low risk and would have had mild symptoms regardless of how many shots she has taken.

Just a reminder and it's been true for quite a while, the reason for Covid vaccinations isn't absolute protection against infection by the virus, it's the prevention of serious cases requiring hospitalization. This is from the CDC website regarding boosters.
The fact that Walensky's symptoms were mild actually reaffirms the CDC policy.

Ask people whose had relatives had died from Covid or have suffered serious infections themselves whether "mild symptoms" are BS? My guess is that in retrospective they would have been eternally grateful if they or their late relatives had only suffered "mild symptoms". Mentioned it another post and while obviously anecdotal a friend of mine who was fully vaxxed and doubly boosted still contracted Covid. According to him his symptoms were no worse than a common cold and he is what would be considered high risk, 73 years old, mildly diabetic, 25 lbs overweight with a history of coronary heart disease.

How do the so-called vaccines reduce severity of something which doesn’t exist ?

My unvaccinated mom just had Covid for the second time. Neither Round that big of a deal and she had the bad version the first (not omicron/subvariant of omicron). So yes…let’s stop with the I would have almost died if I did not take the shot insinuations.

Unvaccinated dad with alpha. Hardly a cold. Myself unvaccinated. Hardly a cold. Granted I had one of the omicron versions presumably.
