Nembhard followed up the game against the Knicks with a 1-8 shooting night in a clunker against Houston. Life of a rookie in the NBA.

I don't have the box score, but didn't he get a pile of assists and have the 1st or 2nd highest +/-?

I remember when he was here I said he may end up being a better NBA player than a college player. His game translates to a more cerebral NBA offensive style

Or perhaps two point guards quit on the team. They won't pull that stunt if they stay with a NBA team.

AN reminds me of a John Stockton ultra-lite. Great court vision and a decent handle. But Stockton was one of the best ever at PG and so I don't want to say he is the same catagory. But his style of play is close.

They quit because their coach was destroying their college basketball careers.

Stockton also played his college ball at Gonzaga, so there is that.

I recall that AN was a star at UF and probably would have been drafted in his junior year. Gonzaga had him coming off the bench his junior year.

Nembhard was a ball-hogging point guard in his sophomore year at Florida playing on one of the most slow- paced offenses in the country. At Gonzaga, he played 30 mpg in his junior year on one of the fastest-paced offenses in the country. Mike White obviously did not let AN play his style of play at UF.

IMO, AR is kind of like Tebow in the NFL, it isn't that he could not play, it is just that the current game does not fit what he brings to the table. Too much acrobatics and not enough fundamentals (can't hype fundamentals on Sportscenter).

If he landed in THE spot in the NBA, well then, I say DAMN GOOD FOR YOU!

And yet, that doesn’t refute what I said that he was a star player and likely would have been drafted as a junior if he stayed at UF.

Disagree big time. Guy has excellent vision and can score well enough to be an solid starting PG with the right surrounding cast.

You disagree how? You believe those traits are what the NBA values to a high degree? Maybe I have not watched it in the past, say 2 months, but what I recall, the NBA is mainly about "if it doesn't make the Sportscenter highlights, it doesn't mean squat".

That did not answer my question. Try again.
