Maybe he’s too busy celebrating glorious evacuation victory from Kherson where stupid Ukrainians are falling into deft trap of taking land that Russia does not really want.

I realize I’m pissing against the wind, but Surovikin has just echoed what Russia has made clear from the beginning, why plow forward (why not indeed cede ground) when your enemy will come to you to be killed ? Ukraine’s ballyhooed counter-offensives have resulted in titanic losses.

Ah the old rope a dope strategy. It worked for Ali because he was playing hurt. Russia is getting its butt whipped. They’ve lost 75-100k troops KIA or injured. The 300k conscripts are acutely planning their escape/surrender.

At this rate Russias last stand will be in Siberia

Chechen leader confirming change in approach. No longer interested in fighting on the battlefield, will now be attacking infrastructure of the country to force capitulation. Past time to let Ukraine target comparable infrastructure in Russia. Targeting command and control for militayr is legit war, targeting poser staions, water plants, sewer plants, dams to destroy civilian infrastructure is not.

This strategy to plunge the country into darkness during winter will likely be more effective than fighting the troops.

Putin Ally Hints Change to Ukraine War Plan: 'Everything Will Be Different' (msn.com)

"Military command and energy facilities of Ukraine are subjected to targeted attacks," Kadyrov said on his Telegram channel. "We warned the criminal leadership, which settled in Kyiv, for too long that we had not yet taken concrete measures in the course of the ['special military operation'].

"Russia has repeatedly given a chance to the command of the Satanists to come to their senses. But we were not heard or ignored. Now everything will be different. Then we will dictate the terms," the Chechen leader continued.

Kadyrov, last month, publicly ridiculed Putin's military amid a series of successful counteroffensives conducted by Kyiv in Ukraine's south and northeast. He criticized the Russian Defense Ministry after Ukrainian forces took back Izyum, Kupyansk and Balakleya in the Kharkiv region, which had been seized by Putin's forces during the course of the war.

"I'm not a strategist like the Department of Defense. Mistakes were made. I think they will draw conclusions.… I always like to tell the truth.… And, if today or tomorrow, there are no changes in the strategy for conducting a special military operation, I will have to go to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the leadership of the country to explain the situation to them.… The situation is very interesting," he said in a message on Telegram at the time.

I think Russia has recognized that an extended war is not winnable so they are changing tactics to try and freeze out the Ukranians and make them suffer so much that they have less will to fight than the prisoners and conscripts Russia sends to the front lines

300,000+ Russian coffins for an empire (msn.com)

Gen. Sergei “Armageddon” Surovikin is Putin’s latest choice to put those coffins to use. Promoted to head the Russian Army in Ukraine, the new general is eagerly embracing the use of “total war” tactics and is openly and brazenly targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, including in central Kyiv, using cruise missiles and kamikaze Iranian drones. Cover stories accusing Ukraine of bombing itself are a thing of the past. Putin’s army is overtly committing war crimes in full view — and in acquiescence to the talk show hosts, military bloggers and nationalists calling for a “scorched earth” policy in Ukraine.

Replacing one war criminal — in this case, Gen. Alexander Dvornikov, aka “the Butcher of Syria” — with another isn’t likely to change the outcome in Ukraine. It is yet another desperate attempt to achieve any semblance of success in Russia’s failed “special military operation.” Both generals are said to be ruthless, but soldiers fight wars, not generals, and the willingness of the Russian soldiers in Ukraine and those being mobilized to continue the fight from Russia’s impoverished minority populations, is lacking and extracting a cost on the Russian psyche. Protests, mass defections across neighboring borders, open criticism in the Russian media, and violence at mobilization stations and training bases are Putin’s new normal.

More than 700,000 Russians reportedly have fled the country since Putin’s “partial mobilization” announcement, a tally that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov adamantly rejects. Those who answered the call — or were shanghaied — found themselves on the front lines within 10 days; woefully unprepared, many are returning to Russia in coffins and body bags. They were barely trained or equipped; rather, expeditiously rounded up, processed, put into uniforms, issued weapons, and sent to the front lines — feeding Putin’s wood chipper to try to buy time for a retreating Russian army.

Reports of violence at mobilization stations and pre-deployment training centers reinforce the unwillingness of Russian citizens to fight and die in a war many neither understand nor support. In the Irkutsk region of Siberia, a man shot and killed a recruitment officer after a “pep talk” to avoid being drafted and sent to Ukraine. In the Belgorod region of southwestern Russia, 11 soldiers were killed and 15 wounded in a “green-on-green” incident when two soldiers turned their weap

Might be time to begin sending long range missiles so Ukraine can return that strategy.

Will the Russians again display their beneficence by leaving behind more weapons for Ukraine like they did when they withdrew from the outskirts of Kyiv early in the war and like they did when they withdrew from Izyum in September?

You have lapped up any and every obscure pro Russian opinion piece while refuting any and all information or sources that even remotely mention anything other than absolute Russian domination and you have the gall to claim Americans are the most propagandized nation in the world lolol.

If you believe your own tripe you have some pretty weak convictions to continue to reside in said country. And no that's not the same as mindlessly saying"love it or leave it." There is plenty of room for criticism and oppositional thought about American politics, military, lifestyle etc. Certainly much more room than in Putins Russia.....

We know we know...."80% of Russians approve of putin!" Lol

I think we should bring in the best anti missile systems we have and tell them "Shoot any more and we blow it up before it gets here."

    Or better yet, show them.

Their lame ass drones should be easy knocked out. I hear they are slow and loud.

Pretty much anything not very short range or super sonic I bet could be taken out of the sky with our tech.

Would negate their "tactical nuke" option too. "You want us to blow that up over your land? Ok."

I would smarmily point out that any such tactical nuclear weapon would be programmed to not arm until near its target to prevent exactly what you are warning of … but then again every other Russian wonder weapon has vastly disappointed in this war, so maybe their weapons do inadvertently arm when over their own territory. Who knows?

I don't think that Ukraine wants to target Russian civilians. The last thing they want to do is take a chance that the Russian anger from being attacked will turn on them and the Russians decide that they really are in an existential war. As long as they can keep on having so much success against the Russian military, keep doing that. And the Russian civilians will continue to think of Ukrainians as their distant cousins, being attacked by crazy dictator Putin, and they will continue to not support the war. I'm not sure it makes a lot of difference militarily at this point--Russia's capabilities are severely degraded at this point. Fighting by the Geneva convention rules also helps Ukraine look good to the countries supply military aid to them.

Duh. Any country that wants to invade another non-NATO country has to go through the U.S. (or get the U.S. to look the other way) in order to be successful. No country that wants to invade a non-NATO country has to concern itself with Germany. And Germans know this. Germany does not have the ability to invade too many other countries, and has no need to, since the U.S. provides security for most of the world.

True. Which by the way, is by design. That you have a lot of people wanting Germany to rearm fully. Their neighbors get nervous when they do
