We might want to try some of the things they did.

QB elevated his play, some timely transfers, a sneaky good wr class. The previous class left some talent when he was fired.

They have big, long, fast, wide receivers and a QB that is accurate... and a QB that does NOT turn the ball over. Their defense is not much better than ours... but their offense is constantly good/great, much better than ours. That's the difference between our two teams right now.

Their offense is similar to the Oklahoma offense that Tebow and company beat in the 2008 National Companionship Game.

    Innovative offensive system

Their talent isn’t that great. That is the scary thing.

They have a mobile talented QB and Huepel has a big set of balls.
He plays a fast offensive strategy like Kiffin and his kids just love it.
Very concerned that CBN prefers 3 yards and a cloud of dust forever.
His resume is full of 1-3 point wins that won't last long too in the SEC.

    In my head--- UF
    Coaching. Solid hires.

Banks (the DC) had 3-4 seasons as a DC at Penn State.

**** Uten has an OC too. Golesh. He calls plays along with Heupel.
QB who knows know how to run the playbook.

Uptempo offense. Passes on the perimeter (UF is not uptempo)

    Key transfers via the portal

Their program was many times worse than UF. Pruitt had them in NCAA hot water.

Saban- a defense HBC - had no answer at all for Heupel’s genius offense.

Could the offense in 2022 put up 35 on Bama?

    It becomes imperative.
Going up against Kentucky with their NFL talented OC/DC and now Tennessee.
Not to mention Georgia who is light years ahead of us as well.
We still have TAMU this year and next year we get Arkansas.

They are definitely better on offense, but call it sour grapes if you want, they still aren’t that great overall. They could easily have three losses right now and be the same ole vols, things have just broken their way this year. Bama (who had already barely squeaked through two games and isn’t Bama of old) doesn’t get called for PI and that game is over. We, despite not being very good have 20 more seconds on the clock and likely win. Then they squeezed out an OT win at Pitt. Three close games and credit to them they won all three, and now they have that crazy UT 1998/ Auburn 1995 luck turns to momentum thing happening. They were way overdue for a year like this. We will see how sustainable it is.

They're only going to get better with that 5 star QB they have committed. If they can improve on defense, they could be a playoff contender in the future.

Heupel figured it out, he doesn’t play small ball, instead prefers big chunk plays down the field, that’s basically how he beat Bama.

Pure stupid luck, via a nice QB in Hooker.

Kind of like 1998. But that team had ridiculous luck in 3 games and a damn elite middle linebacker/leader.

Proof enough that we should be working the portal like Kiffin did to get his QB Dart.

The real problem, IMO, is that Dart wasn't Dart before he transferred to Old Miss. Kind of like getting an elite HC, they either are happy where they are or they have issues. If you hit one out-of-the-park, well that isn't a given.

Hooker is ok. AR is much better. We are actually more talented than they are on offense. It is all about scheme

maybe not THAT talented top to bottom, but their top 15 players blow ours out of the water. And it’s not even close. Please don’t share star rankings as a rebuttal. They are better on the field.

And if the season ended today, Hooker would be in NY as the likely Heisman winner
