For once can fans circle the wagon & remain positive?

Uggghhh....one of the most tired, old and completely false sayings being trotted out again.

Yes, you better have some Jimmy's and Joe's, but if you don't think the X's and O's matter a lot too you haven't been paying attention. Charley Pell had lots of Jimmy's and Joe's (eventually) and zero SEC titles. Spurs had a bunch of SEC titles and at least at the outset had way less to work with than Pell.

 

It is the responsibility of the DC. I'm against the talk about firing him now but the performance of the D has been troubling. We are currently bringing in a good to great class on that side of the ball and our defensive coaches are largely responsible for procuring these commitments. We don't want to lose sight of that do we? You also can't ignore the fact that the D has been historically bad for years now.

 

So fire him the day after signing day? I kid, I kid....

 

I am not a historian, but I would add that we are talking about Game 7 of Year 1. We aren't talking about mid-3rd year or later. Sunshine pumping begins in Year 3, everything before is just being hopeful you have it correct, as there are still missing pieces to the HC's legacy run.

Why there are folks who say...over and over..."I don't like this feeling, I don't like this feeling", is bizarre and it is kind of defeatist. As I posted before, that is tracking into Auburn territory. Truly troubling.
