I've seen plenty of dipshits say we should fire Toney. That's the direction I was aiming.

Many are not thinking cerebrally but with their emotions. This is not the first year our defense has sucked! Napier inherited a program in disarray. Our struggles didn't happen overnight and it AIN'T A QUICK FIX!!!

I hear you loud and clear. The OP wrote:

"Ripping everything/everyone is not going to help. Fans have gone down that road many times, it's time to try something different."

The 10% will always be there. Some say 80-20%. So for me as a season ticket holder, collective donor, alumni guy who writes checks to other sports - we are legion. 90% plus who will stay through the whole game, but also grumble over mistakes (this is a message board right?)

I don't see one person ripping everything. I would say 100% of fandom loves the RB room, we are ecstatic over less penalties, love to see the real AR, are happy with the recruiting progress, are over the moon with the OLine development.

I'd say 100% would like to see more scoring. That's not complaining that is thanks to the HBC.

I'd say all of us are flummoxed over a defense worse than Grantham, lining up 15 yards from the WR.

I'd say 5% want Toney gone.

    Onward

Oh-I agree with you-however-the ones that get the most attention are the complainers-I agree with being able to critic a game etc-but constructively-without venom

Plus they are ruining Swamp Gas and especially the OGTs for older, long-time Gators and that is not acceptable.

You tire easily. 80-20 rule. Some guys troll and complain. Ignore them. Right?

Or crap on 100% of the fans with generalized whining. Ignore them. post positive stuff.

Complaining about ghosts when you want to burn down a building with "all of our fans" BS.

Do you speak for me? Any fans?

Be positive in your posts, police the bad offenders on twitter, even here.

In all fairness, Cox plays some downs like a one-man-wrecking-crew, other downs he plays like the weakest link!

I was using what I heard from the regulars who parse the game. James thought he had a really good game. Or at least the parts that I heard, since all I truly hear is mainly "wash, rinse, and repeat." I don't think he does this purposely, just that we are kind of stuck in the mud. It always sounds the same.

I'm more into ripping the offense because Napier doesn't really run anything. Slightly modified pistol or RPO.

It's not flashy, it doesn't work. He wants to score 24 points and sit on a lead, and you just can't do that anymore.

Are you sure? I mean, he is in Game 7 of his first year. Maybe, just maybe, he is playing the hand he has been dealt instead of the hand he has built. Just a suggestion.

The latest GNFP defensive analysis is pretty complimentary on Cox.

The offense actually looks pretty decent compared to past UF teams.

I speak for me - never tried and don't want to speak for you.
You have no problem calling what I said BS, kind of hypocritical to tell me to not call the fans calling for Patrick Toney's removal dipshits. You see, calling them out without being specific is essentially critiquing the idea that some of our fans have of firing our coaches. If you don't get that - don't read my posts. We'll both be happier.

Your goodwill may be tapped out, but that doesn't change a thing.

The program is broken and has been for over a decade. Time to come to the
realization that we are closer to Vandy than Alabama.

You don't have to like it, I sure don't. But that's the way it is.

Napier will solve the problems the team is having but he needs time and great recruiting. It's not about the x's and O's but it's all about the Jimmy's and Joe's. He needs more and better players. Our pass defense is horrible and our WR's can't separate. That's most of the problems we have on this team. Not Billy's fault!

The "for once" in the title question is not a remotely honest assessment of the past decade.

All the times someone stood accused of being a "sunshine pumper" standing in stark rebuttal to the very notion.

He is basically running Grantham’s defense with slightly worse results. He just doesn’t blitz the safety from 20 yards away and instead drops a DE/LB back into coverage. The almost complete passiveness in our secondary and lack of second half adjustments is why I don’t have confidence in him. Napier has made some adjustments to the offense to help out AR, yet I don’t see similar adjustments being made on the defensive side. Almost any time it is 3rd and long, our secondary will line up at the first down marker and bail at the snap. Perhaps we would get burned playing tight man, but we are getting toasted playing soft zone.

When we got LSU into 3rd and long at the beginning of the game and then promptly gave up a first down due to the soft pass coverage he called, that is on the DC. So many times we give up easy first downs due to those massive cushions. And the pass rush can’t get there if the QB can make an easy read on where he wants to go with the ball in less than 2 seconds and gets the ball out.
