The fact is we were enamored with Braun because his big bro was a beast of a lineman. Braun had looked to be following in his steps but just never did anything
All I am concerned is 1) he is quitting on his team in mid-season (the only other times I have heard this is because they are already going to be 1st round draft picks) and 2) he isn't doing football stuff to keep in good shape. Both seem to me to be major red flags for anyone who is looking for a "quality" transfer. It is his life.
Good luck to the young man! We should expect about 20 non-seniors to not be around next season, so not surprised we see one leave mid-season. Onward.
Is this true? Experts from Awesome Recruiting would probably know. If so, wow! I also agree with those who thank Braun for his time in Gainesville and wish him nothing but great success. Arkansas?
Yes..I just checked..we had Isaiah Walker, Braun, Mincy and Leonard..only Leonard remains..Walker transferred to the u ( think he left there too) Mincy to Tennessee, now Braun to ?
So... technically he's only a sophomore? If the covid year was for 2020? And he expects to start right now... as a sophomore? Man... see ya Mr. Braun.
This is his 3rd year on campus. He is graduating this semester. Why waste a yr? He can take 2 yrs remaining and graduate transfer. It's a smart decision. Braun had 7 starts and 600 snaps last yr. This yr only 22 snaps. The writing was on the wall. Also by stepping away it allows the player behind him to get more experience.
And to think the Vols' offensive line is better than any offensive line we've had since the Pouncey twins.
The OL chump had in the 12-2 mashed teams. Good luck Braun!! Hate to see this but go somewhere to get some PT and your masters.
I know, why risk an injury and why continue to practice in an offense you won't be in if you have already decided to transfer in 6 weeks. 22 snaps in 7 games. How many do you think he can or will get in 4 more?
