Situation worries me. Local kids that are good football players. Family with ties. Dad leads a local program. Trent has great hands and is being underutilized. I say that knowing our offense goes 12 personnel a lot and will have 2 tight ends in the line up. I fail to see why Pearsall can’t slide outside occasionally and Trent stay in the slot.
I didn't know missy aggert was their mom. That's some damn good bloodlines. She was a beast in volleyball
You always make choices because there are only so many spots. Gotta make your best judgment with the info available today.
I was bummed when I read about Creed decommitting. When I saw that I was hoping that Trent wasn't gone as well. First thing I thought. Seems weirder than weird. I absolutely loved Trent. Kids a baller. Got the softest hands on the team IMHO. Trent is ridiculously underutilized IMHO as others have mentioned. MCB51 said it...we really don't know what's going on behind the scenes. I'm not sure he even played in the LSU game, let alone got a ball tossed his way. Henderson is finally getting up to speed-maybe that's part of it. We see this craziness all the time as fans. Sometimes we get some inside intel, other times it remains one of life's mysteries. Trent, IMHO was a star last year. If a ball was anywhere near him he'd catch it. Just weird. Maybe the class coming in is so yuge and highly ranked that Napier is ushering out some folks as mentioned? Creed was recruited as an athlete or a receiver, right? Anyway, hate to see Trent leave. Go Gators.
I’m sorry, but if Trent isn’t contributing, he needs to be processed out. I don’t know why he’s not and I’m a big fan of Missy Aggertt, but I’m ok with freeing up a scholarship for a player that will play.
I don’t know either, but realistically no one is playing over pearsall. We got a bunch of average guys but for some reason Whittemore can only play the same position as pearsall - who seems to be a completely different type of receiver
I think we are limited by AR at this point. We don’t have many attempts to go around since we aren’t moving the chains. Trent isn’t better than the three starters right now regardless of position.
I’m with you Wing, it is a big deal for many reasons. I believe Trent could be a solid player given the appropriate opportunity. I don’t like seeing local kids go elsewhere. As I’ve said before slide Ricky outside some and put Trent in the slot. Big target with great hands. Interesting too as Trent is a better athlete than he gets credit for. Creed is extremely athletic.
The staff's personnel groupings befuddle me. I think Pearsall on the outside and TW in the slot would be great. I'm tired of seeing Shorter, Hendo, Zip, and Zanders. Something different please!!
After his freshman season I thought Trent was going to end up being a Gator great. Kind of baffling that he has not panned out, but I have no idea why. Billy has enough people on staff not to need any advice from me.
Not surprised we have trouble holding onto pass catchers, we average less then 15 completions a game and half of those go on screen passes.
We have an absolute dearth of top-level talent at WR. How Whittemore hasn't been targeted more is perplexing.
Feel like at a minimum Whittemore has shown he has some of the best hands on the team. He could help with ARs poor placement I would imagine since he hasn't been throwing the most catchable passes this year.
And so why the two TEs? Seems like a waste of weapons. I guess it's related to blocking for our RBs. Right, but on the surface, not a great look. Exactly what did the purveyor of your disagree bacon disagree with; that he's a player, that we are writing this off as a no big deal, or that you think it is a big deal? I'm not okay with losing a good player for one the staff hopes will be. A LB named Hopper comes to mind. As much as we like CBN's persona, are you ready to believe they are infallible? True about AR, not sure about the rest.
That is a mystery. Why are the two best possession receivers stacked behind one and other, which means you never see them play at the same time. That makes no sense to me.
