behind a paywall. Drug overdoses have risen by a large amount in the US. Plus, the over 65(most vulnerable) vaccine rate in the US is about 95%. Issue is younger people are dying. Not from covid, but from other things. We are a very unhealthy country. That is the issue.

The Nightmare COVID Variant That Beats Our Immunity Is Finally Here

A new subvariant of the novel-coronavirus called XBB dramatically announced itself earlier this week, in Singapore. New COVID-19 cases more than doubled in a day, from 4,700 on Monday to 11,700 on Tuesday—and XBB is almost certainly why. The same subvariant just appeared in Hong Kong, too.

A highly mutated descendant of the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that drove a record wave of infections starting around a year ago, XBB is in many ways the worst form of the virus so far. It’s more contagious than any previous variant or subvariant. It also evades the antibodies from monoclonal therapies, potentially rendering a whole category of drugs ineffective as COVID treatments.

Agree. I don’t think I ever had an issue with anyone who wanted to get it. I just couldn’t stand the far left agenda of making it a requirement. It was crazy to hear people who agree with abortion scream “My Body My Choice” and then completely contradict themselves with “You have no choice, you need to get it”. Mind boggling.

I just found out my little brother (44 yrs old) did get the first shot, because he would have lost his job, and he just went to the ER for heart Palpitations.

Anyone who got it or even didn’t get it, will always be in my thoughts and prayers, if sick.

At the time, the vaccine was still reasonably effective at preventing infection, we had just come off the initial wave, and we were trying to do something to get back to normal. The more people who were vaccinated the more we could get back to approaching something normal.

It didn’t seem like an unreasonable request, but then those on the right had to make it out to a political issue.

OMG stop. It doesn’t prevent and it was admitted that they didn’t test to confirm this. People who took it still got sick. That’s not preventive. Good lord! The CEO said it was 100% preventive and it’s NOT! How much more proof do you need? Stop looking for an excuse, for demands that were not necessary! Won’t answer another one of your post, cause I don’t wast my energy on people who are brainwashed. I’m not on the right. I was and am Middle. Good luck.

Nobody, and I mean nobody said the vaccine was 100% effective at preventing a breakthrough case. the term breakthrough case has been around a lot longer than COVID. And, in fact, if you actually read the data, you would know that it was known not every vaccination was great at preventing cases. For example, this release from Johnson and Johnson, dated Sept, 2021, claiming it's vaccine to be about 79% effective at preventing COVID 3 months after vaccination. This means at minimum, 21% expected breakthrough cases within the first three months, which was later revised to closer to 30% - 33% after 6 months, wild type only. Again, it's to the surprise of nobody that more vaccine resistant variants became the dominant strains. Biology and evolution dictate this was going to happen eventually. It was only a matter of when.

Given that COVID was a world-wide pandemic, it was impossible to vaccinate the world fast enough to prevent variants that would have a higher level of vaccine resistance. That's only ever happened with two viruses, smallpox and the rinderpest virus. And neither of these mutated into variants anywhere as fast as COVID. What vaccinating our country to the point reaching local herd immunity would have moved the virus into the endemic phase quicker, and possibly delayed the onset of new variants.

The CEO said it was. I already posted the link to his tweet. He lied. It was BS to get people to take it and he knew this.

No one on the right was trying to ruin families by coercing them to take a new drug for a disease that was not that dangerous to most.

And the more we know. The more the coercing crowd owes an apology!

Vaccine was never good at preventing infection. That isn't true.

LOL. Here is Politfact trying their best to say the CEO didn't say the vaccine doesn't prevent spread. It's ok to admit the vaccine didn't prevent spread.

PolitiFact - Alleged revelation about Pfizer vaccine trial is nothing new

"Was the Pfizer COVID vaccine tested on stopping the transmission of the virus before it entered the market?" Roos asked.

After two other Parliament members asked questions, Small responded to Roos' query.

"Regarding the question around, did we know about stopping immunization before it entered the market … no," said Small, presumably meaning to say "transmission" and not "immunization." "We had to really move at the speed of science to really understand what is taking place in the market."

Biden was wrong. Should have said if vaccinated, your chances of getting sick is reduced. And your chances of getting very sick is very small. But Biden's a politician, and not a medical professional. And it's the medical professionals we should be listening to.

    Trailer: The Real Anthony Fauci

I think you can just click on the movie or might have to leave a burner email. Apparently it's free for another week. So far, this movie is very thorough.
