It's shocking to me, I would have plugged all three of these guys into the 2 deep before the season. And I mean no disrespect, it's a tough game. Black was so eager to be a Gator. I want it to work out for all of them.

Yep. Really sucks we lost Harold Perkins to LSU last cycle, we desperately need him. He’s playing well at LSU too

Well, when we signed these guys we thought we had talent. They showed talent in HS. Something is amiss. It's hard to reconcile the idea that for Black and Wingo, it's size but for Borders, who has the size, it's ???
Nothing makes sense. 225 is enough to be effective for a number of snaps. These guys are football players. Did we really miss this badly, our players are unable to make transitions? You have to wonder. Diwun, Wingo, Borders? How much leeway do we give our assistant coaches by endlessly dismissing poor position play as that we recruited tweeners or trying to play guys out of position? It's football, not rocket medicine. Did the staff even look at Hopper's film, talk to him, urge him to remain a Gator? A bird in the hand is better than the one you were presumably chasing during the end of last cycle.

Another four star recruit we were excited about that for whatever reason isn't panning out. Yes, I know, once heralded players transfer. Mullen and Co would have had to be the worst talent evaluators in history to produce so many busts.

    I wouldn’t label Braun as a bust

And that's it, I used the word "bust" and .... that's it? Okay, good, I'm glad it all makes sense now. Mods can close this thread.

So weird. Our O line seems solid so if he can’t make the rotation then it’s whatever I just don’t understand how he can’t.

The last staff wouldn't bench Stewart Reese for him and this staff wouldn't make a way for him to get on the field either as a starter or first/second off the bench. Maybe it IS an indication that he's not good enough or just not a fit at UF. We'll see how he pans out at his next stop. I think our expectation of him was high due to "getting" him from UGA, at a position of need on the OL, being a higher rated OL that Hev usually never got, and we just thought the world of him when in reality, he just may not be that good. It remains to be seen

Hevessey, wasn’t this entire board bitchin about his piss poor recruiting and development? Well ….. there you go I’ll take ULL OL Track record with Hunt playing for the dolphins Ocyress Torrence gonna be a top pick this year and I believe there are 2 more highly regarded nfl prospects on thier team now also we got Waits who will start next year do yes the prior staff evaluation was shaky at best

Die - Right on, it's just baffiling. I won't even attempt to explain it......can't explain it.

I'm just to the point now that our current staff needs to get their own players in and make it happen.

If they don't make it happen with their own players, we all know where the exit sign is...................

That part as well as how consistent White and Barber have been this year. I do think Kingsley has been the "weak link" on the OL this year but he's not a detriment. I trust this staff with how they can develop the OL

Think CBN / staff have done a fine job with the offensive line and Torrence has been a huge "get" for UF.

Just need to pick up the pace with recruiting, expecially next cycle, if we don't pick up any more signee's this cycle.

All wee need is about 6 true big/strong defensive tackles and we'll be much better... the recruits we have for next year will be a huge help for a much improved defense.

True but unfortunately they have to sign, show up in fall, then grow into this next level. We are two seasons and another great class away, I believe.

Yes, I agree, I suspect that CBN season 4 is when we see the BIG leap into great things. At least thats my hope!

Well that's probably true, can't change that fact, but there is a transfer portal too.

I hate to sound obvious, but I guess coaches have a reason why one plays over another and, especially in this culture-building year, it's not always simply talent, as Billy said when asked about Diwun.

I'd love for them to go down the roster explaining each guy's spot but it'll never happen. Some staffs eventually deserve more criticism about their decisions, but it's way to early to think this one can't evaluate their players.

Imagine hearing: Yeah, this guy misses class, this guy's late to practice, this one doesn't have a good attitude, this one half-asses it during drills thinking he's good enough. Or maybe: this one's just not good and that one's not smart enough to remember what to do. Lol

Sucks about Braun, a soph, but got passed and won't wait his turn or even help the team till the end of the season. Could even play in 2 more games without losing his redshirt but probably thinks he deserved more because he's started before, but that's not how it works.

Is that because in season 4 he's signed three classes? Not to mention, three more seasons of transfers incoming.
