Let me spell it out for you N E E D. Orange county does not need voting methods lessened right now. The 3 coastal counties do. There are still people in that area in recovery mode.
Stop being dishonest, then. He's only "damned" because of his selection on where to loosen voting rules. (Plus, he's getting called out for his hypocrisy over drop boxes.) There are still people in Orange County in recovery mode. Those counties don't "need" it. But it's the right thing to do. It would have been the right thing to do in the other counties hit hard by the storm. But DeSantis, as usual, is playing politics.
The blind hate reactions to Desantis are pretty bad. I haven’t seen the libbies swing and miss like this before. It’s kind of cute.
Yes. I agree. Now be consistent for other needy counties, and even the ones where he isn’t assured the majority vote.
"Stupid" and now "dishonest" The insult store must be open late tonight. The coastal counties were wiped out in comparison. He chose those 3 and ignored many conservative inland counties. Go get some sleep grumpy pants.
I mean consistent for all areas that have a need, including BUT NOT LIMITED TO Counties that may not vote his way. I don’t know how else to use the word, consistent.
The city of Sarasota was wiped out? You declared he was "damned" if he did and "damned" if he didn't. Except that wasn't the case. His decision to be a partisan hack in loosening voting requirements is what "damned" him. I'm quite good with the conservative inland counties having their voting restrictions loosened too, as long as we're picking counties on a nonpartisan basis. There are a lot of people who have been displaced and had their lives uprooted by the hurricane. Plenty of them aren't in the three Republican counties he chose. Your post was dishonest.
I get what you are saying, but he left out counties that would vote his way. A lot of central Florida is conservative yee haw south. DeSoto County used to be the most bumpkin place when I was a kid. I imagine it still is lol.
Dishonest is an intent. That is far from my intent. But stop acting like he just picked conservative counties. Do you think of Dade had been hit directly he would have ignored them? He chose the coastal counties most impacted. The City of Sarasota is also dishonest when you ignore the impact on southern parts of the county. Thats my old stomping grounds the southern part of the county can seem like a different world from the northern part.
Right wing douches, usually: If people really want to vote, they will find a way no matter how difficult. When it suits them: These counties full of my supporters need help because life is tough right now.
Far from your intent? People were on here criticizing him for selectively choosing the counties, and you pretended as if he was in a no-win situation. I don't need to stop acting like he just picked conservative counties, because that's exactly what he did.
Because the storm hit those counties hardest man. The x's represent republican counties that he did not offer this benefit to. All closer to the impact point than the democratic counties. The St. Johns has red and blue counties on each side throughout.
Yet he didn't apply it to all those red counties closer to the eyewall impact. Some of you act like he implemented this to the corner of the Polk/Orange line and then stopped. Cmon guys. Polk has 600k voters. Charlotte and Sarasota combined ha e about the same. Why didnt he do Polk if this was for politics? Why not Collier?
LMAO that is a complete 180 degrees from the Dem thinking in 2020. Remember all the BS about a certain group not having ID's. Total BS in the first place but if they really wanted to vote they could have gotten IDs. PS Why do you idiots always have to start your post with name calling. Yes I called you an idiot probably should have just called you a douche or a Rube or what ever other childish words you and your buddies like to throw around.
Yeah but all those red counties don't have as many people as that blue county just above it so those don't count. Did I do that right?
He should have offered the benefit to them and the blue counties that got hit hard. The reason he didn't is because he wanted to give the excuse-makers in his base, like you, plausible cover to justify this brazenly political move.
