I live on the edge of this county and I have many friends and family scattered throughout Orange County. It cannot be in the same conversation.
I think that when people claim all politicians are the same scum it tends to be a way to excuse someone on their side of the aisle for being particularly scummy.

The only problem with that statement is the Warnock doesn't own or manage the building in question (Columbia Senior Residences at MLK Village). It's owned by Ebenezer Baptist Church, it's managed by a third party management company and it's not a slum dwelling. Apparently, the rumor started based on the experience of an understandably bitter resident who was being evicted for nonpayment of rent. I guess the implication was that Warnock, who had absolutely nothing to do with the decision, is a hypocrite who really doesn't care about the poor. Edit: Although it doesn't change anything above the building may have been Columbia Tower at MLK Village. Still the same. Both are residences for low and moderate income tenants owned by the Church and managed by Columbia Residential. Again, the residences aren't slums and Warnock has no ownership interest nor does he play any role in management.
The stunt Herschel pulled when he flashed the honorary deputy sheriff's badge and claiming that he's a police offer would be the equivalent of a person who was awarded an honorary doctorate claiming that he earned a PhD.
