I was at the game and when the LSU band started playing over our music it really angered me. Classless act.
That being said: is there a rule, or at least an unwritten rule,as to how much of the break between third and fourth Qtrs the home team have? Is it customary to allow the opposing teams band an opportunity to play at all during that interval? if my memory serves me correctly, in years prior to the Tom Petty song being played we allowed the opposing teams band an opportunity to play after our “We Are The Boys” was performed.

We need to be just as imaginative like FSU's band did in LSU's own back yard. FSU played a rendition of their corn dog song during their game. Did you also see LSU's band clapping with a pair of shoes all game?

During a recent game between UNLV and Air Force, a ref went into the stands to tell the UNLV band to stop playing while Air Force has the ball. I noticed that LSU was blasting their music when we had the ball, right up until just before we snapped it, which, according to the announcers in the clip I attached, is against the rules.

I have learned over the decades that for some strange reason the Swamp is the only home stadium in the country where the visiting team gets most of the homecooking.

In the comments under the linked tweet some people said that it’s the LSU band tradition to play their fight song at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Still, it was very low class to do that while the Petty commemoration was still going on.

Who cares? If you’re expecting class and respect out of a group of 18 year olds, you’re the fool.

Yeah it's annoying but rather than crying about it, which is what banning them amounts to in the adult world, how about scoring some points? I doubt they'd be so willing or able to annoy us were they down 21 instead.

If I was a member of the athletic department I'd be much more concerned that unranked 4-2 LSU, who lost to our in state rival, had a 21 point lead going into the fourth. This wouldn't even be on my radar.

Unacceptable? Only because the students didn't take out the conductor during their disrespect of one of our traditions in our stadium. College kids are sometimes emotional that way.

Perhaps we can expect class and respect from LSU's band directors.

Yep, they should be banned for the ‘24 game. They can be back on probationary status ‘26 game.

As the dad of an 18 year old college student myself, I expected class from the adults who seemingly are leading them.

Those 18 year olds are getting absolutely shredded on twitter from media calling the band out.

How about showing 18 year olds what respect and sportsmanship are instead of trying to get yourself in the headlines.

It may look petulant, but I would remind LSU that having their band at an away game is a privilege and not a right. And I would expect a letter of apology from the band director taking responsibility for being piss poor guests.

Otherwise, I think they have "double-dipped the chip" for the last time.

You're talking about a place that tried to use a Hurricane to steal a home game.

    They suck.
