I think the problem with getting guys enough touches is we don't run a lot of plays. We don't run a lot of plays because our defense can't stop anyone. I remember when 3 and out was a thing. No more.
When your offense has 14 attempts passing and 26 attempts with 66 yds and 186 not many receivers are going to stick around for that. But it also tells me this kid doesn’t want to compete!
Big Whitt is a possession guy only. Pearsall is impressive and needs to play a lot. Lil Whitt will be a loss, but Wilson is the top recruit at slot regardless. If Creed can play QB after a couple of years at MSU that would make for a fun college career. If he wants a career in the NFL, receiver is the play though.
Let’s be honest. Creed isn’t the caliber of athlete that will bring this program back to where it needs to be. I’m ok with it.
EXACTLY!!!! If he turns out to be the next Steve Smith, i'll eat my words, but he's not going to make or break this class.
That was quick..maybe UF via SOS helped him find a new place to move on to..I didn't before..but think he may have been nudge out..maybe big brother transfers there too...
Interesting, you're probably right. Still don't love the timing, right after we lost, having a brother on the team. I did want him to be part of the class but silver lining is it won't make or break it. Hope he does well
That's crazy as he was our 3rd lowest recruit. Gives us a good perception of our blue chip class not too shabby.
The only reason the optics of this may look bad is too many are trying to insist that they are. Truth of the matter is Creed was not going to be on the field much here … and would certainly be on it earlier and more often at MSU. He’s a hell of an athlete and I would be happy if he is apart of the class but let’s stop with trying paint this as a red flag. It really isn’t. And I don’t know who you would sit in place of Trent. Suggesting it be Shorter is just a bad take. He’s had a really solid year and does things Trent can’t. Pearsall is a big NO. And X stretches the field more vertically. The WR group in general is open more than they get credit for but AR is at times too slow to get the ball out. He doesn’t trust what he sees sometimes IMO.
Worrying about turning it over causes hesitancy which causes turnovers. When he's out of his own head and letting it fly he's killer. Maybe someday he'll relax, trust his skills, trust his teammates and see the whole deal. Probably not next game.
