Both of those way better teams than LSU which has beaten us, what ? Four seasons in a row ?

 

People have said this over the last 12 years..fans still come..and so will recruits

 

What have they looked like all year? So they played bad vs ut, our D seems to play bad week after week. I'd trade stats with bama any day vs our D.

 

too bad that we can't recruit a DC.

 

Like I said on the game thread, a little Column A a little Column B. But that doesn't seem to be a popular thought around here.

 

Not to hijack, but isn't this more an indictment of Stricklin than it is Dumbo? I realize that, if there are few good choices (no, we did NOT want Frost!!!) then you get what there is. But still, until further notice, Dumbo stole money from UF. And that IS on Stricklin.

 

May be that having confidence in the two min drill and defense wouldn’t be very smart. Maybe knowing both would fail is correct?

 

You sound as if that's the miracle tonic. Those 4 star recruits will be young and inexperienced. And if we put them in this same bend but don't break scheme, giving wr's an 8 -10 cushion, similar results. I like your optimism.

This is like saying, "yeah, if we plan on growing corn, we need it to rain some during the season." It is the new reality for everyone.

 

Defense is ugly for sure, but I don’t think it’s Toney. Check how his defenses improved year to year at ULL. It’s about the dudes and our dudes ain’t very good right now. Forget star rankings and focus on what your eyes tell you. Our D Line was getting pushed around and our LBs were getting sucked into the carnage…and you can’t play in the SEC without a good front 7. I would say our secondary is better, but we have 2-3 guys playing on every play while 1-2 were totally out of position mentally or physically.

I don’t think a coaching change solves anything. Bring in Quinn and Collins as whatever, but I seriously don’t think they will improve this group. This group will get better with the guys watching in the stands yesterday. Y’all ain’t helping when y’all bad mouth our team and coaches when it comes to recruiting these dudes.

34, I don't know what to say really. Feel like I'm drowning. What's been already posted says it all. I'm so very disappointed in the defense. It's a continuation of the last 2 years. We can't stop anybody and alot more of the same is coming this season. It sucks. But I'm not going to turn on CBN. He needs time.

The vision for a better future is all I have to cling to.

Bama got clearly outplayed by Texas who isn’t a great team also. Without the refs, they lost that game too. Bama has looked suspect all year. They have a huge talent gap over Tenn and Texas yet really got (out coached? ) what the problem ? Bamas defense just isn’t very good if you ask me. Coaching or talent or both. They can’t cover and blame has to go som. Those 5* corners got lit up, maybe Saban can’t scheme?

 

Then you can go into the locker room and say too your guys "it didn't work out this time but we'll get them next time. I have confidence in you all and we'll get it done together. "

Which I think is better than "I didn't want to put you guys in a position I knew you'd fail"

But I think you are getting at hindsight is 20/20. And that is true. If we ran a two minute drill and gave up a pick 6, I'd be upset about that too.

 

Yepper, get behind Napier and go down with the ship if that’s what happens . Don’t abandon ship at this point. That’s mutiny and grounds for walking the plank along with the rest of the fake gators.
