SEC GAME THREAD: (3) Alabama at (6) Tennessee, Saturday at 3:30pm on CBS

Bama has been so close to getting an INT. Hooker is tempting fate.

 

Didn't we hit him a few times?

 

Bama positioned well for the second half.

 

UT had pretty much the perfect half against Bama. All of the short fields, penalties way in UTs favor, all of the bounces going UTs way and yet only up by one score.

 

UT fans can't be comfortable right now. That special teams turnover was the difference.

 

Yeah, basically everything went their way with the calls and bounces.

 

Set up perfectly for SEC refs to take over and impact the game. On paper, calls look even but I’ve seen this way too often when it comes to Bama and the refs.

 

So Alabama has played a terrible half
Penalties
Turnover
Short punt
Tennessee played a great half
Yet Bama one score away

 

Saban looking weathered at half. Needs a visit to the hair salon. At least he was respectful to the reporter.

 

I don't remember if we ever even touched him. Maybe on end of runs, but I don't remember hurries or sacks. ESPN stats get worse every year.

Ok found where the stats are kept. We hurried Hooker 2 times all game, both by Miller and did sack him 3 times. James and Burney (2 sacks).

 

We hit him. He elbowed one of our players when they didn’t get off him fast enough on the last drive of the first half.

 

One thing I liked was UT tried to score at the end of the half instead of running out the clock.

 

I just checked..we sacked him and he fumbled

 

Hooker has looked great, in fact he's played well all season. Can the Vol defense hold up, I'm guessing no, should be an exciting finish tho.

Bizarre to see Bama not getting any calls, esp the hits on Young.

 

Is the East now The Beast? It was one thing when we could win the East then have to face Bama, but another altogether now with the gauntlet the strength our rivals in the East represent.

 

Bama has shown they can stop this offense. Definitely going to be an interesting 2nd half

 

Ut had 2 penalties for 15 yards total
Bama 9 for 71 total yards

 

Surprised they looked a little timid there. Threw supposedly safe sideline passes and almost got picked off. The hail mary was good though, almost worked.
