i will agree the school boards sending out invitations to drag queen shows at 21+ gay bar shows as ridiculously inappropriate. I was with her up to that point. But then she had to go down the Fox News “groomer” rabbit hole and pretty much destroyed her credibility.

Just so wrong. Pubs pols are not listening to the voters but pub voters keep voting for them anyway largely because dems wont offer a qualified option (hillary, gillum, kamala??). How do we fix this so our kids have a chance? Im pulling for Hogan and a dem congress at this point

Teachers don’t teach sexual orientation! That is not a thing in K-3! Ugh!

But for some inexplicable reason, they believe it anyway.

It does happen. The cases are very few and far between - not enough to have passed a law about, which was mostly brought about by hysteria - but it does happen. I have observed it at least twice from colleagues, albeit at the middle school setting - even at that level I don’t think it’s appropriate. Any teacher discussing sexuality in a classroom setting is not discharging their duties properly; and any teacher discussing sexuality in an elementary classroom should be relieved of duties - homo or hetero doesn’t matter.

There is no curriculum for sex ed in K-3, only starts in middle school and parents can opt out, unless they have changed that. There is no curriculum for CRT. All made up problems where there aren't any.

If a teacher steps outside their bounds, regardless of the subject, then they should be written up and reprimanded. Apparently with cases far and few between, we should pass a law and make it a campaign slogan? His commercials are full of lies. Sad thing is I don't see Crist countering them at all. Of course he also is ducking debates so you can't put him on the spot either. Now I know what it feels like to be railroaded.

I agree. It’s a non-issue except in very rare cases. To the best of my knowledge sex Ed doesn’t start until MS Health, and it is VERY rudimentary there. But I am not a health teacher and haven’t taught it since 2008ish.

Where is that line of thinking when it comes to Law Enforcement and police shootings. Listen to the news and some folks on this board and you would think police shootings happen every day.

I would be willing to bet there are more children being taught sexual orientation in school each day than people shot by cops.

We had 19,000+ murders in the US last year. Not all murderers throw up their hands and surrender when the social worker comes to talk them into giving up peacefully.
