Andrew Jackson Higgins developed & built Higgins boats in NOLA. Their innovative design & shallow draft allowed the U.S. to decisively land troops on foreign beaches & win WWII preserving our freedoms.

My late Dad commanded one during 7 Pacific invasions helping the Japanese.

 

Greatest Basketball Player EVER! Played in 21 loser goes home games & was 21-0! Back to back National Championships at the University of San Francisco which had never won before or after. UCLA had a coach you may have heard of-John Wooden back then.

He won an Olympic Gold Medal without a Dream Team, entered the NBA & led the Celtics to their first NBA championship in his rookie year.
He would go on to win 10 more championships including an incredible 8 straight!
