I mean, we should definitely be phasing out both guns and cars. As far as a threat to the planet goes, cars/fossil fuels are much worse. Unless we invent a gun that can rupture the earths crust.

If you are talking people who drive 100+ on the interstate or weave in traffic (while speeding) on congested roads I wholeheartedly agree. Of course they shouldn’t be charged with “attempted murder” unless there is a crash with injuries caused by their recklessness. However I think even without the accident, extreme reckless driving should be insta forfeiture of license and maybe even 30 days in jail. Technically I think reckless driving is already a criminal offense in FL, but I doubt it’s prosecuted much. FL probably just takes the ticket revenue and considers that a “win”.

Those cases were very controversial, even within the military prior to any public knowledge. Sorry, but I’m going to give benefit of the doubt to the soldier in “he said, she said and they said” cases. No one can know where the truth really lies.

If you are driving on a local street and there is a likelihood of pedestrians, bicyclists and whatnot, and you are distracted and/or impatient in your actions, your vehicle can and does cause enough damage to kill someone.

You are now charged with manslaughter. End of conversation.

You are stating the obvious, but essentially every accident involves some type of distraction or mistake. Obviously we aren’t going to start treating every bonafide traffic accident as “attempted manslaughter”. Not unless they were doing something egregious, like DUI or driving recklessly before the wreck.

I think they identify as "libs", not "libbies". You are so 2020.

BTW, who is your aide? Do you pay them extra to call them out on GC? If your aide screws up that much, you could hire a new one.

Your town has three lanes in each direction? I'm jealous.

Right on. You're on the front lines more than I, so I understand it now. I've spent less time on Too Hot in recent months, partially due to what you describe. Reading/posting on this board can evoke creepy feelings at times. It's why our friend @mutz87 has opted to back away for a while. I'm still intrigued by some of the topics and continue to hang around, just not quite as much.

They look like violent liberals. Probably have boat parades with Biden flags. Clearly elitist.

    Back to the topic.

What will their defense be? Not sure which, if any of these would work before a jury?

    1. The other shot first and I was protecting my child. (Self defense)

    2. I was standing my ground.

    3. Castle doctrine

    3. I did not see a child in the other car.

My horse is wearing lifts. And I suspect my saddle has a booster seat built in. But the horse is a tranny, so it's o.k.
