My original post was about DT freshmen only. There are really talented RB who can contribute day one. At DT that is unusual and usually disastrous.
Tim Smith played a good amount as freshman at Bama, but that is the extremely rare exception that cuts against the rule.
OT BUT: had dinner last night with willie Jackson sr and Ernie dubose (Inducted into Sarasota high school hall of fame). Didn’t realize that Khalil Jackson was willies grandson (#22, not rashad Torrence, the other #22). He spoke about the crap he went thru being the first black player at Florida. Quiet, very humble man. True Christian soul. It was great and he looked great. Go gators
Is he sitting out this season at GT? Didn't see any stats on him. ACC Academic Honor Roll and a big linebacker.
3rd time on campus this season. I think we land him or Lester next cycle tbh elite db commits: 2017: Marco 2018: nobody 2019: Elam and Steele (gone) 2020: Rogers (gone) 2021: Marshall 2022: Moore 2023: McClain? 2024: Ricks?
I'll say this in passing, what blows me away about this staff is that even without Cormani, we have a steller DB class.
