Well, we have a thrower. I don’t think throwing is the issue right now lol

Well, you didn’t say anything about throwing accurately or on time.

Wanne, don't forget reading the field and the defense.

Technically Danny wasn't the greatest arm but arguably one of the smartest and "In Command" of his offense in College Football history........

Of course having a coach named Spurrier and recievers like Doering, Hilliard, Anthony and Green didn't hurt much either. :p

Heck, I think Danny's arm strength was behind both Kresser and Dean. Its not all about the arm strength (but it helps :)).

I think the thing that stuck out to me is the moment never seemed too big for Danny, no matter what. That's the mentality you need from your qb. He could also move on from a mistake.

Arm strength is down the list to me. Reading defenses quickly and getting the ball out accurately and on time is most important

A little off topic, but I’m sure a few older guys on this post remember a QB for the old Washington Redskins: Eddie LeBaron. The only pro games we could watch in Inverness in the late 50’s early 60’s we’re Redskin ( hope I’m not offending anyone) games. LeBaron was about 5’9 and a buck and a half but an excellent QB. Mobile enough to avoid sacks and a heady, talented QB. Redskins were awful in those days but that guy was fun to watch. I’m not sure he would have much success in this day and age.

AR definitely has an accuracy problem.

Not my definition of thrower. Pass first qb. Felipe was average at both.

Arm strength is more important these days than it was in decades past. You can't lay the ball out there like Shane and Danny did.

Against colleges you probably can. Arm strength was still needed in the nfl for Danny. He would still carve up a college team.

I'm thinking we should get some of those online class tutors that georgia gets their recruits to get them to qualify. Maybe with enough credits Lagway can reclassify for 2023.
