OK forgive me for being lazy and ignorant, but who does he play for and has the regular season already begun?

I believe it was George Carlin (really) who said the most meaningless stat ever was a partial NBA first quarter score. Any NBA preseason stat/score has to be a strong contender for the next most meaningless

Maybe. But those numbers put up by Nembhard show that he can at least compete at an NBA level.

Happy for Andrew. I never thought he would play in the NBA.

Ironically, TJ McConnell is ahead of him in the rotation. TJ beat out Wilbekin many years ago for the backup point guard spot on the 76’ers.

Any game where your team wins and you had a hand in the win, that is always good. He was +14 and that is even better. We shall see whether it is a case of rookie-itis (they don't know how to play him yet) or he has what it takes to sit at the end of the bench in the NBA.

I am rooting for him, either way. And if he turns out to be a basketball version of Dameon Pierce, well I can live with it.

Great point. Under the old regime, we managed to run off a couple of really good point guards.

Thanks! Do we have an idea about his chances of making the roster and contributing?

I saw where he hit the winning shot at the buzzer by faking a 35-foot bank shot, driving past the defender and posturizing Anthony Davis and two other defenders with a 360 degree, reverse overhead dunk, all while saving Lois Lane from certain death.

We missed out on him for sure!

Andrew has made the team. He has a four year $8.6 million contract of which $6.4 million is guaranteed.

I believe that’s the largest contract for a second round pick in history. Seriously, I remember hearing that when his contract info came out.

    Go get ‘em Andrew!

And he's worth every penny of it, too. He could be a starting point guard right now in the NBA. Has the maturity. He's never going to be a Steph Curry type scorer, but he is a solid leader and passer with an unselfish style.

Agreed 100%. He’s more like Andre Miller or one of those guards with a lengthy career. Really happy for him.

Agreed, but don't do our guy AN like that by comparing him to the most boring and slow player in the history of the NBA, Andre Miller. :D
