I dont know what "no guns" means, but I definitely think open carry (so-called "constitutional carry") and even liberal concealed carry policy is antithetical to having any sort of healthy society. The more places guns are allowed, the more shootings there will be.

 

You compared bad gun owners w bad teachers, etc. Are gun deaths in America a small sample size?

 

Given their obvious anger issues, lack of common sense, and indifference to the well-being of their children, neither of these losers is fit to be a parent. Put them in jail, where they can't put innocents in shooting situations because someone was rude in traffic.

And I did not compare them. I asked if using a small sample size was appropriate in any other instance and the answer is obviously no.

 

1. Guns where in the cars.
2. Guns do not cause impaired cognitive function, slowing of reflexes, impaired reasoning and decision making.

Alcohol has been shown to do all of the above.

Don’t get me wrong … most of that was ALREADY present with these two asses from the story.
The vast VAST majority of legal gun owners are law abiding, respected citizens. The vast majority are conscientious and discerning with their firearms.

How you FEEL about the topic doesn’t change the facts. Using a small sample size to broadbrush paint the entire group is just wrong. You know that and would agree in almost every other area that it could be applied. But you don’t like guns and don’t like them being carried and don’t like constitutional carry… so you use a small one of sample to “prove” you are right despite what statics say and despite what the facts say.

 

This is so true! Bad parents, terrible fathers ( mothers didn’t seem to be much better). And to think they are raising young girls to be the next generation…

 

Most gun deaths are suicide
Many gun deaths are illegal owners(gangs members) terrorizing their neighborhoods.
Few gun violence acts are random legal gun owners shooting people.

 

Media posts sensational story about road rage.
Media uses loaded phrases like “semi-automatic”. (Pretty much all handguns nowadays are semi-auto)
Media succeeds in getting people to discuss it all day, digging their heels in further than they already were.
Media has already primed it for the next story.
Rinse. Ad clicks. Revenue. Repeat.

 

I'm going to go ahead and disagree that the 10s of thousands of gun deaths in America is a small sample. And yes, you absolutely made comparisons. To deny it is intellectual dishonesty.

This is the new trend. Libbies wanting a fight post things in threads that Cons will say, all while no con says them and its just the libs getting blank stares where they though would be laughter.

 

I don't know if I made this up or heard it somewhere. But I think road rage is largely a function of adrenaline - fight or flight. We have an intuitive sense that someone else's careless or aggressive driving presents a real life or death situation for us. And it does. Lots of people are just not thinking clearly in these situations. And yeah, I think people are more aggressive driving these days - which is probably a result of generalized stress and anxiety, increased traffic in many areas, etc.

 

As for the two A holes in the story. Take their parental rights at least in the interim unless it can be determined one was absolutely defending his life.

Unfit doesnt begin to describe them.
