Wrong. Millions of MAGA rubes listen to this guy like he’s preaching gospel. Just because you don’t care about him doesn’t mean nobody does. You are wrong.
Other than Trump, it’s hard to imagine a bigger POS. Both are mentally ill……and loved by a certain subset of humans.
Come on with this BS. Not all who listen are Trump supporters, I bet some of you libs listen. Like I said nobody gives a shit about him, just the wackos and several of our local lefties(the brightest) on TH
I liken the guy to Howard Stern: Avg listening time for people who liked Stern: 3 min Avg listening time for people who hated Stern: 45 min I'm spit-balling the numbers, but the significant spread is the point. Jones is the same way. Personally, I've never listened to the guy. He just doesn't register on my radar as relevant.
Stern averaged 30 million or so subscribers at one time. I doubt subscribers would invest that kind of coin to just listen to an average of "3 minutes" or "45 minutes" to hate what the guy is saying. Also, Jones raked in over $165 million in merchandise sales alone over a three-year period. People who don't care to listen to him definitely would not buy merchandise.
Guy deserves to be hit by a *bus full of Sandy Hook parents. OK. That was wrong of me to say. Guy deserves to get hit by a *bus full of Sandy Hook parents... And THEN a *bus of Uvaldie parents. *Bus is a metaphor for law suits of course.
I think the only similarity is both intentionally say provocative things, and the main demographic target would be somewhat similar audiences (blue collar or disaffected white males). In matter of degrees it’s not even close. Stern is/was always mainstream. Jones shifts that “talk radio” demographic all the way to its extreme edge, to the point you have to assume his followers are insane and/or criminals. The fact that his business is basically selling supplements and years supplies of prepper gear should enlighten you to his audience. Jones is also far more political, his audience is strictly the far right. Stern maybe was a misogynist or said some racially edgy stuff that “white males” liked to hear in their programming, but it was also all lighthearted. He was never overly serious or political. I think alot of conservatives and Christian’s tried to shut him down as well. So he was an equal opportunity offender. I think Jones is seen more as a warrior for this new Christofascist movement we are seeing on the far right. As we see from his antics he basically thinks the law doesn’t apply to him. Know anyone else like that?
I don't disagree with you. That was kind of my point. The provocative BS is why they both have/had the following the do/did. Those that hated the guy were more likely to listen to him longer. In both cases (the love or hate) the reason why is the same. "I want to hear what he's going to say next."
Maybe not, but that's not the point. The point is the "shock jock" content. Those that like him listen, buy merchandise, but "they want to hear what he's going to say next". Those that hate him listen longer, don't buy anything, but "they want to hear what he's going to say next."
can the court put all of his and his company assets in receivership pending resolution of the appeal?
