Yeah, they have a zero percent chance of living unhappy lives and being a big cost to our society and the women who weren't ready or prepared to raise them.

Yep, a bit of a circle I suppose. In my case I was raised by a single mom who never graduated HS. Family expectations were to learn a trade and there was nothing wrong with that, but not my thing. . College expectations came from elsewhere, guidance counselor, teachers, etc

Many of the people in my neighborhood did not go to college and have/had far less income than the few that did. There were few successful entrepreneurs, mostly employees not bosses. Of course there are always exceptions. One guy dropped out of college and is now a multi millionaire. That offsets his older brother who was in and out of jail.

I agree that moneyed families are much more likely to push their kids to college. However, I still feel that education creates wealth and opportunities and that's why I support it. I will never believe otherwise.

Try this with Pub run cities versus Dem run cities... That is really what makes your dystopian point much better.

People are looking at these numbers backwards sometimes.
All these stats show why conservatives are so angry with things like crime, immigration, a stagnant middle class etc. and why they will forgive so much for a guy like Trump when they finally have someone that finally hears them.
This is what the left keeps missing.

States that support their populations better through taxes, have better outcomes, regardless of the urban vs rural divide.

We could go by county level, but I don’t think it would paint as rosy of a picture as you think in regards to various outcomes.

What happened to the conservative “pull up your bootstraps” mantra?

The Red State Murder Problem – Third Way

    • The rate of murders in the US has gone up at an alarming rate. But, despite a media narrative to the contrary, this is a problem that afflicts Republican-run cities and states as much or more than the Democratic bastions.
    • In 2020, per capita murder rates were 40% higher in states won by Donald Trump than those won by Joe Biden.
    • 8 of the 10 states with the highest murder rates in 2020 voted for the Republican presidential nominee in every election this century

It's partly because of activist judges and governors that refuse to hold violent criminals in jail on bail only release.

That’s wonderful. Sounds like you had a good school and are just a driven person yourself. I’m guessing your kids, should they exist, will be (or already were) college bound as well.

My mom actually didn’t go to college and always joked my brain came from my dad’s genes. She had two sons before marrying my dad and neither graduated college, but both became successful and had great stable households. All of their four kids are going to or have graduate degrees. And I can also pretty much guarantee that their future kids will also be college bound. I am glad for that.

In the end, I think it would be reckless not to attend college if you can. I just also think that, unfortunately, not everyone can. I guess it’s a bit like asking does a rectangle’s area come from its length or width? Clearly there is no area without both.

Except they “think” folks like Trump hear them but in truth he holds them in contempt.

All Republicans have done is harness that anger and grievance into policies that benefit the 1%. The middle and lower classes aren’t writing off that private plane, are they?

Assuming they all live unhappy lives is a falsehood. We act like all these abortions are had by poor teenagers.

Lots of rich people hiding their indiscretions too.

Also, an unwanted pregnancy doesnt equal an unwanted baby. Many (dare I say most) people that have had unintentional pregnancies fall in love once they hold the baby.

    No you dont get it.
I think a baby is a baby. Which side of the mothers skin its on isn't the deciding factor.

Also, I dont believe in trying moms with crimes. Ive said that repeatedly. I guess that sounds like the taliban too?

Women under the taliban rule would kill to live under the "oppression" of the States.

Get back to me when the beheadings start.

More bully words to try and silence.
It's a lazy strategy. And a losing one, so please keep it up.

The plural of anecdote is "anecdotes," not "data."

I should have said Government mandated forced birth. I think it is more descriptive.

While the Taliban aren’t involved at the current trajectory “government” and “Taliban” may become synonymous.

Who assumed they will all live unhappy lives? And rich people will get abortions whether it's legal in their state or not. It's lower income women who you want to punish by taking away their options. The bottom line is that the woman should be allowed to choose what she wants to do. You should have no say in the matter. When my daughter had her abortion is was 100% her decision and I supported her completely. I would have supported her if she had chosen not to have an abortion too. It was her right to decide what she wanted to do. That's a right you would take away from her.

This is so funny. Without education humans would still be living in caves. Education and the technological advancement it produces are the only things that create wealth.

    Can the government create wealth?
