How very neanderthal of you. Because having a child that you don't want is a suitable punishment, right?
Women also outpace men in educational attainment, a trend that dates to the 1980s. The ratio of women to men in college enrollment now stands at roughly 60 to 40, and it continues to grow. Americans who complete college are more liberal than those who do not. “Putting off marriage, going to college, entering the workforce, women are doing that at much higher rates than they used to,” said Marc Hetherington, a professor of political science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
I guess Schitts Creek is an amazing enough show that all members of the political spectrum can get down with it. David is one of the best characters of all time.
Whatever show Chris Elliott appears in usually gives me a tickle. He plays the perfect deadbeat every time. Lol.
I'm sure you're kidding at least somewhat, but I will respond anyway because I find this prospect interesting. I dated several women who had some different views than I did (left or right), and I actually enjoyed our discussions; it added some good tension and things to talk about and I actually respected their takes. My bigger issue was women who I generally liked but didn't care about the news or follow politics at all because that really limited things I wanted to discuss. In any event, the thought of making out with a robot who is programmed to agree with us and will never say "no" doesn't sound appealing to me. It would essentially just be a smart sex toy.
No. Its a gift to society. It's the sad theft of future impact of that baby on society that is all of our punishment.
It's none of my business what women do with their bodies. Nor should it be yours. And I'm a father two, including a teenage daughter. The choice should be between the woman, her doctor, and anyone else she wishes to include. The choice should not belong to the government, or any religious institution.
Kind of reaffirms one of the real reasons for the anti-abortion position. It's as much if not more to punish for women for "irresponsible sexual behavior" than it is for concern over "the unborn". A good percentage of so called pro-lifers are really puritans who are opposed to sexual intercourse except for the purpose of procreation. Been said many times before, the most effective way to prevent unwanted pregnancies and elective abortions is through comprehensive sex education and making contraception easily accessible, both of which are opposed by a fair percentage of prolifers.
I certainly can't tell someone what they can or can't do...doesn't mean I'm not allowed to think killing an unborn child is pretty disgusting.
Every unplanned pregnancy has hope. Something that no aborted baby has. And did it ever occur to you that some of us have our belief based on personal experiences and it is far from "easy" to say?
