Pre-Game Discussion: LSU at FLORIDA (10/15)

This will be a very hard game. It will be close at end. We need BHG to shake.

 

Unless our D tightens up, Lsu will have record completions, eat clock and limit our O.

 

Very happy for Jaydon. Takes a lot of will to come back from the knee issues he has had.

And his film study last week is why we got the 6 on his interception. That was 100% entirely due to knowing Missouri's tendency there. Well done!

 

Correctable, as in bringing in different players next year?

 

Good times.

 

I hope it does not turn out that way. Stating the obvious but our offense needs to sustain drives to wear out their D and rest ours and yes, our D needs to get the ball back to our offense so that we don't wear down late in the game.

 

I try to keep it simple (obviously REALLY simple this time). We won against pretty lousy Missouri and USF teams, but not convincingly, and we lost against Kentucky and Tennessee, which are also not great teams. We won against Utah and so...we are set up for another loss.

Midline means midline, whether we like it or not.

 

Play well we win. Play poorly we lose it's as simple as that.

 

Florida football: Opening up the mailbag ahead of Florida’s Swamp showdown with LSU

 

This is a hair away from "to win we need to score more points" on the logic chart.

 

LSU seems to do this each year- or at least the last 2 years.
In 20 they lost to Bama by 38, to Auburn by 37, and to TAMU by 13.
In 21 they lost to UK by 21, lost to a mediocre Auburn and UCLA.
Then somehow they beat us both years.

It's like their plan to put up super crappy film, then have us take them lightly, then they play us like it's their biggest of the year.
And we don't know what hit us.

I hope we won't fall for it again, but I suspect we will with the UT beatdown last week.
The players need to understand we will get LSU's A game, not their UT effort.
Don't believe the film.

I will add that if we can win this game, we are set up for a great season.

 

I lived in La. from 1977-99. It's not just the players that somehow tend to dislike the Gators and give us their best. The entire population of the state looks forward to this game with bated breath! They really look forward to beating the Gators. Never seen anything like it!! lol

 

It is still upsetting to see.
We would have gotten the ball back and driven down to kick a field goal to win.
Maddening!!!!!!

 

Our defense has given up 3rd down conversions this year that if you saw them you would think it was a typo.
I would like to see us not do things to give control of the game or momentum away.
If we are ahead by 2 TD's to stay aggressive and keep pressure on them!
