It’s also practical. Telling the others team was the injury is also helps them scheme to exploit it. If Thayer had a back issue, then they knew she was probably on a limited jump count, so defending our offense would be easier since we would set her less, and they would attack her more on their side to get her off the court quicker for instance
I talked with her last night after the match. She said she tweaked her ankle and received therapy for the rest of the game. She said she thought it was going to be fine.
She seemed to be moving fine before she left, so hopefully just an illness or some other minor thing, guess we will know this week when we play.
