River / Bling, What's the issue? He is speaking from the heart and directly to his base constituents. Nothing surprising or unexpected here. He used his players of color to achieve his personal goals. At least they now know exactly whom he is. And another thing, the people that elected him, are exactly like him.
Well first off, his former players went to Ole Miss and Auburn, so they can’t read. Second, people in Alabama and Mississippi don’t waste their time with the WaPo. Third, who really gives a shit about this. His former players who love him will continue to because of the bond that they have. The former players who don’t like him will use this as reason to continue.

It is staggering to see the extent to which some will go to excuse this behavior. The hatred of all non-white, non-Christian, non-straight people in this country by Republicans goes so much deeper than I ever imagined.
What is staggering is the leaps you libbies make to label people bigots and racists, etc. And I worry about how confident you are about making these divisive judgments. Ugly.
