That would be inflationary and likely increase the deficit.

That would also be inflationary. Also, how and what does a "secure border" mean?

How are you planning on stopping supply-and-demand for drugs? More war on drugs because it has been such a success so far?

    Inflationary.

Could be deflationary, but no idea what is included here.

Contradicts your earlier point (it is a huge increase in government employees). Also, likely inflationary.

On what charge that is likely to get enough Democratic votes to allow for removal in the Senate?

I'm thinking your grasp of this issue may not be great. But why would they lose the protections offered to online commenting services?

This was not a great start.

How does continuing to not collect taxes due help todays problems ?

Exactly how? Was it “secure” under Trump?

Difficult to do because you don’t need truckloads of fentanyl as it is so concentrated. This didn’t start under Biden.

I didn’t realize that Biden cut it.

Exactly which spending do you want to cut that makes a material difference?

You want the federal government to pay for more cops? So much for cutting spending.

. For what and exactly what does this solve?

So what problem does big government regulation of private social media companies solve?

    I think I’ve seen enough.

Bad idea. It's basically impossible to get a hold of a person at the IRS if you have issues with your taxes because they're so understaffed. And, of course, being understaffed makes it difficult for them to catch all of the wealthy people who are evading taxes right now. If I have to pay my taxes, other people shouldn't be able to evade theirs.

This is about as meaningless as saying you're for "stopping crime."

We're already doing that. But illegal drugs will always find their way into the country as long as there is a market. So again, this is about as meaningless as saying, "I'm for stopping crime."

    Defense spending increases every year.

Like cutting social security, Medicaid, Medicare, and benefits for veterans? Pass.

    Ineffective and inefficient solution.

    L-O-L.

One of the stupidest ideas ever formulated. If Congress eliminated those protections, I could sue GatorCountry if you posted something defamatory about me on here. That move would result in websites eliminating people's ability to post messages or over-moderating content or under-moderating content. All of these outcomes are bad. But let's blow up the internet because some "conservatives" are butthurt about their social media bans.

Those aren't plans, they are platitudes. It's like me saying to end the war in Ukraine, create and send over The Avengers. The devil is in the details.

And even the platitudes are BS. The GOP always widely expands federal spending.

Kind of like building a “stronger and fairer economy” and “healing the soul of America” for the left. All politicians speak in platitudes.

The IRS agent issue I have no problem with. They need help because the people that work there now are morons.

Outside of defense, GOP is simply not a governing party.

It is essentially just a reactionary party to oppose the left, and to cut taxes and regulation for the rich.

I am not rich and I’ve paid over 100k in Federal taxes YTD. I have an issue with paying that much to a govt that spends it frivolously. If that’s right wing then that’s what I am.

Have news for you. Their tax cuts don’t generally have a meaningful effect on the middle class.

Rich and the poor, with the later to make it palatable, and also the reason the percentage of people not paying income tax goes up when passed.

And then they don’t offset it with spending cuts, so it’s just really fiscally irresponsible from the party of “fiscal responsibility”.

LMAO you are showing how unwilling you are to work with the other side....Everything the GOP wants you will find some foolish reason to be against. Many times your answer is as stupid as that won't work.

Here is how I see your strategy in football terms. We tried passing that didn't work, we tried running the ball that didn't work, we tried kicking a FG and missed so this time let's just punt the ball.

Graham made it clear a national ban on abortion is in the agenda and Scott provided the blueprint to end SS and Medicare/Medicaid. Neither seem like great ideas for the country.

The hypocrisy in not voting for infrastructure then touting it, for example, suggests there is a desire in the Republican party to float all boats, but complete fear within the party to propose those solutions. Leaves a question as to who and what is controlling the party. Maybe the new Christian Nationalism.

Since i first started paying attention to politics in the late 60's some things hold true about Republicans:
    1. War. Nothing like a good ol war to bring America together and of course to increase defense spending and flag sales. The military are politically needed pawns of the Republican party. I enjoyed 12 years watching this front row.

    2. Tax cuts. Those silly things depend on the people that get little to no effect from them to support them. If i were a billionaire then i am not only a Republican but most likely i own the people that provide me the tax breaks. Name one middle class taxpayer that has influence over a politician?

    3. The past 6 years has seen the RNC support the most disgusting display of political commercials ever. Nothing but nothing stating their real desires just hate. Even now Marco Rubio is being advertised as super American even when he is none of what the commercials portray. Guess what..every Republican political ad is identical across the country. All they do is change the charaxters. Check that out.

Fact is Republicans need others to appease their ridiculous never ending platter of really bad ideas. Might be a good idea for moderate conservatives to take the party back because that Trump/MAGA thing just isnt an idea thats going to get votes from the majority of America.
Overthrowing an election wasnt so intelligent either.

protection of conservative ideas (which generally relates to attacking google, Twitter and Facebook, higher ed, public schools, etc.)

    School choice

    border security

    isolationism

Lower taxes for wealthy and businesses

    “Election security”

    Deregulation

More state control vs federal control

i think that’s the basic middle of the road conservative platform at this point based on what I’ve been reading.

I'm happy to trade the GOP "border security" for immigration reform. But I'm not going to humor stupid claims like "we're going to secure the border if you put us in charge" or "we're going to stop fentanyl from entering the country if you put us in charge." If you're not intelligent enough to understand why those are empty, meaningless promises, that's not my problem.
