I knew we'd take a step back offensively because of the drop in receiving talent but man ... this team is just not fun to watch. I hope we turn it around quickly because watching the offense sputter and the defense give up 3rd and 20s has made this season one of the more frustrating in years.

I remember that Mizzou game in 2014. If my memory serves me right, that's the game that mizzou scored basically every way possible, a Kick return and a punt return for TD's , a pick 6, a fumble recovery for a TD, a Rushing TD, and 2 field goals. Scored 42 point with only 20 passing yards and a final team rushing yards of 38yds. Smh.

Strange how our views differ. While I agree our offense has looked bad at times and good at times. And our defense is finding its identity. We only had 1 penalty today so that good. But I gotta say most of these games have been exciting. I was more pumped about our play in the tenn loss then I was in the USF win. These games and situation will eventually galvanize our team. The lockerroom seems to have a chemistry to them that i haven't felt in years. CBN has the Xs and Os now let's let him go-get the Jimmy's and Joe's he needs to compete week in and week out.

Vandy is away this year, and SC is too late into November.

I don't agree with this at all. While our receivers are not the best we have ever had, AR almost never targets them. Tight ends especially. He totally locks in on Pearsall, and that's that. How can they do anything if he won't throw the ball their way? That GFNB guy broke AR down as a pocket passer a few games ago, and said he is completely uncomfortable passing from the pocket. He focused on his happy feet when he is in the pocket, and it was obvious. I watched his feet today, and sure enough, every crappy throw he made you could see his footwork being a total mess.

AR is a roll out guy, who needs to run more. Period.

WR’s open all over on film, including today on the big AR run. That was a good decision, but open receivers was a week 1/2 problem.

In the NFL “open” is a sliver. And he did show that today on the lazer to Pearsall.

Also threw one directly to a DB that was dropped. He still does that every week. That is a non-starter at the next level.

EDIT: He did NOT do that versus UT. Great balls beginning to end, and it was something like 44 throws. Another piece of cheese that fuels these thoughts.

But in the NFL those brick hands aren’t a thing. They not only catch them they Deion-step it for 6. That dude who dropped it today is a solid SEC player who has topped out. NFL QB’s don’t even give that dude a highlight film moment.

    I think Pearsall is underutilized.

Give him some short passes and let him work. He doesn't have otherworldly straight line speed, but he can cut on a dime. He's a bull.

I really think he'd surprise people if he just got the ball.

Forget next level, he is barely over 50% completion rate, a Jekyll Hyde qb who has as many ints as tds. He will have next year in the system to work on consistency and then maybe draftable as a qb.

Some have alluded to it, some have outright said it. Does the offensive system being run fit the current abilities of AR? I’m not smart enough to answer that. He’s not a stand in the pocket QB though, at all, yet, imho.

AR is saving himself for the NFL. He has nothing to gain at this point. All he can do is fall down the draft board.

    Should win.

LSU = they have a habit of making us do dumb things. Only 3 times have we beaten LSU since Meyer left.
Georgia = loss. Forget that pipe dream.
A&M. loss. It's on the road in an environment that is far bigger than Tennessee and louder. And we aren't great on the road. No road wins since 2020.
SC. Again, no guarantees. 3-2 but both of those losses were against Georgia and Arkansas in blow outs and the 3 wins were against FCS. Let's see how they do against Kentucky.
Vandy. Should be a win but Vandy has been a thorn in recent years.
FSU. On the road and could be the game to determine who goes bowling. This is the game that 6 or 7 players will be ejected by the end of the game. FSU is a step above Missouri.

Oh BS. Gators are no different than any fan base that wants to win. I’m sure he did zero due diligence to come up with that generalization.

This is the type of play that should be removed with extreme prejudice. Literally zero value to the game, just cheap shot horsewipe.

I suggest DoneForTheYear. And when the crying starts, I'd negotiate back to at least multiple games.

Shameful that this is still allowed.
