South Korea is supplying arms now too. There are plenty of bullets and shells around the world to send. But it is a concern long term which is why I’ve posted about logistics a lot. Western world has to change their stance and get back to producing more conventional weapons.
The only thing you said, that is confirmed, is that the Ukrainian army is larger. For now. 300,000+ fresh Russian troops will soon erase - and reverse - the only advantage Ukraine has enjoyed to date - manpower.
Even the Russians themselves put the number of Ukrainians killed at 4,000 with an additional 4,000 wounded and they're not exactly credible. Russian defense ministry claims 4,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed in counteroffensive — Meduza
Why would Empire have to ramp up weapons construction if Russia is falling apart on the battlefield ?
even if all those troops arrive Ukrainian army still larger. AND better trained. And with better morale. And better resupply. Hmmm. You might need to come up with a new narrative.
Headline ... 2 Russians Detained Trying To Enter Alaska Through Bering Strait ... My surmise: more Russia falling apart.
Digger over here with a hard on imagining the Russian reinforcements coming in like the fricken charge of the rohirrim lmfao.
Alright, I’ll give this a go. If as you say Ukraine’s forces will outnumber the Russians, even after Russia readies 300,000 new troops, how well-trained does it make the Ukrainians look when, at present, recent territorial gains of theirs are beginning to be reversed, NOT by Russian troops, but by local militias ?
And if as you say, Ukraine’s army will be even bigger than Russia’s with the addition of 300,000 troops, why are they having to madly reallocate troops from Kharkov to Kherson and the reverse ? And why are they having to strip troops from Odessa ?
Give me some links on that - not that being better trained than the Russians means you are invincible.
And if Ukrainians are smarter, why are they getting themselves blown to pieces, to capture deserted settlements in areas which can easily be taken back ? And if the Russians are stupid, why are they temporarily ceding areas, that they can easily take back, instead of sacrificing lives that can’t be replaced ?
I don’t know that the Ukrainians are larger or better trained (I suspect that the former is not true but that the latter might be), but the Ukrainians are almost certainly better armed, better supplied, and more motivated.
Russians have, depending on the source, anywhere from a 10:1 to a 60:1 advantage in firepower. That’s artillery, rockets, drones, aircraft, etc. But we need to stop talking about Russian troops, at least until they get some. At present, until mobilization is in place, they don’t have enough troops in theatre to take Gainesville.
Perhaps he meant even with the partial mobilization, the amount of troops in country from the Russian side will be less than the Ukrainian army as a whole, which may be true, but at the same time, Russia clearly has a larger army back home. Ditto on the training. Although, the Russians have disappointed from a pure tactical evaluation standpoint, but I don't know that it stems from a lack of training versus their Ukrainian counterparts. That might have to do with the reason they are there in the first place and being lied to by their government. Neither are great motivators for performance.
