Biden is going to pardon all Federal Convictions of simple marijuana possession

Are there a lot of federal charges for simple pot? What is the pot charge is in connection with something else ?

People are so shackled by a system depending on back ground checks for employment.

I have literally gone to bat for good people, by telling my HR dept I am willing to take the arrows if it backfires. Fortunately I have an HR dept that is willing to do things case by case and We have been blessed with good people because of it.

I support this move, though it seems it wont impact many at the federal level.

But even if its a pandering move, its still the right one.

Is simple possession only misd or is Fed system only Felony type.

I would be shocked if there is anyone in Federal Prison for simple possession. Most probably it was an add on with other charges?

I think most people in prison for weed are there because it violated their robbery probation

A guy I graduated with went to prison simply for possessing pot......Of course he possessed about 7 tons on his commercial fishing boat.

 

Total horseshit. I would applaud him loudly and frequently.

Proposition 122 would decriminalize the personal use and possession (for adults age 21 and older) of the following hallucinogenic/entheogenic plants and fungi, which are currently classified as Schedule I controlled substances under state law:[1]

• dimethyltryptamine (DMT);
• ibogaine;
• mescaline (excluding peyote);
• psilocybin; and
• psilocyn.

Anyone who completed a sentence following a conviction related to the personal use or possession of such psychedelic plants and fungi would be able to file a petition asking a court to seal the record of the conviction.

Proposition 122 would also:

• create a natural medicine services program for the supervised administration of such substances;
• create a framework for regulating the growth, distribution, and sale of such substances to permitted entities; and
• create the Natural Medicine Advisory Board to promulgate rules and implement the regulated access program.[2
