Sure, he voted to change the bill. We all agree on that. But did he ultimately vote against biil (with no offsets) in 2013 and then vote for a hurricane relief bill (with no offsets) in 2017? That's the question I am trying to get you to answer and so far you have refused to answer it. Just yes or no.

Here is the full text of the amendment DeSantis voted for, can you identify the 17B in funding for sandy he voted to approve?

After section 904 (but before the short title), insert the
    following new section:
Sec. 905. (a) There is hereby rescinded an amount equal to
    1.63 percent of--
    (1) the budget authority provided (or obligation limitation
imposed) for fiscal year 2013 for any discretionary account
    in any fiscal year 2013 appropriation Act;
    (2) the budget authority provided in any advance
appropriation for fiscal year 2013 for any discretionary
account in any prior fiscal year appropriation Act; and
    (3) the contract authority provided in fiscal year 2013 for
any program that is subject to a limitation contained in any
fiscal year 2013 appropriation Act for any discretionary
    account.
    (b) Any rescission made by subsection (a) shall be applied
    proportionately--
    (1) to each discretionary account and each item of budget
authority described in such subsection; and
    (2) within each such account and item, to each program,
project, and activity (with programs, projects, and
activities as delineated in the appropriation Act or
accompanying reports for the relevant fiscal year covering
such account or item, or for accounts and items not included
in appropriation Acts, as delineated in the most recently
    submitted President's budget).
    (c) In the case of any fiscal year 2013 appropriation Act
enacted after the date of enactment of this section, any
rescission required by subsection (a) shall take effect
immediately after the enactment of such Act.
    (d) Within 30 days after the date of enactment of this
section (or, if later, 30 days after the enactment of any
fiscal year 2013 appropriation Act), the Director of the
Office of Management and Budget shall submit to the
Committees on Appropriations of the House of Representatives
and the Senate a report specifying the account and amount of
each rescission made pursuant to subsection (a).

No, that's not the question. Did he ultimately vote against the biil (with no offsets) in 2013 and then vote for a hurricane relief bill (with no offsets) in 2017?

Ok, then it should be really easy for you to answer yes or no. Did DeSantis ultimately vote against the biil (with no offsets) in 2013 and then vote for a hurricane relief bill (with no offsets) in 2017?

I agree, you have already answered several times that you can't find 17B of funding for sandy in the amendment DeSantis voted for.

That has been answered. Ultimately he did vote against it because of reasons i stated. He also voted for 17B in sandy relief thru the amendment. End of discussion.

And what about the relief bill in 2017? Did he vote against that one because it had no spending offsets.

    I
So again. Excuse my ignorance but isnt this like voting for the color to paint the room.

The suggestion is to paint it orange and blue, but I Say I'll only ok the blue.

And when my idea is denied I vote no.
I in essence voted for the room to be painted, but couldn't support the conditions of the paint.

I also knew the room would end up painted so there was no danger in my protest vote leaving a room without paint.

I can still say, i voted for the room to be painted.

Now I agree here. He should have voted for any offsets that would equate to those in 2013. I think he was pretty green in 2013, but he could also have just been pandering for home.

Either way, I can see an error in judgement, though not as terrible as many are trying to portray it

No. Voting for an amendment to cut funding from other places is different from voting for a bill to fund something else.

Show me were you actually answered the simple question with a yes or a no. Saying 'Show me where i argued against it' isn't an answer (though it is an attempt to weasel out of a simple yes/no answer).

Anyway, DeSantis voted against a relief bill with no spending offsets when it was for NY/NJ and voted for a relief bill with no offsets when it was for FL. That is all this entire debate has been about. Not sure why that is so hard for you to acknowledge.

But i can still say I voted in support of blue walls if I demanded the orange paint not be used. IF i find orange paint to be harmful.

I also may vote different if I think there is a real danger of the room not getting painted at all.

DeSantis never voted in support of Sandy funding. At one point in the process he voted in favor of an amendment that would cut funding in other places.
