““Election denialism is a form of corruption,” said Ruth Ben-Ghiat, the author of “Strongmen: Mussolini to the Present” and a historian at New York University. “The party has now institutionalized this form of lying, this form of rejection of results. So it’s institutionalized illegal activity. These politicians are essentially conspiring to make party dogma the idea that it’s possible to reject certified results.”

“In the short term, scholars said, that party dogma is likely to produce multiple election challenges this fall from deniers who lose. It could poison the 2024 presidential race, as well.
“

“It’s quite possible in 2022 we’re going to have a serious set of challenges before the new Congress is seated, and then this will escalate as we move toward 2024 and another presidential election, in which the candidates, again, almost required by the Trumpians, will be challenging election outcomes,” said Larry Jacobs, a politics professor at the University of Minnesota whose areas of study include legislative politics.

    “
In the longer term, Jacobs said, the country’s democratic foundations are at risk. “It is a disease that is spreading through our political process, and its implications are very profound,” Jacobs said. “This is no longer about Donald Trump. This is about the entire electoral system and what constitutes legitimate elections. All of that is now up in the air.”

MAGA folks, if winning results in some form of one party oppressive government, is it really worth it in the long run? Is this what you want to bequeath your descendants after 200+ years of democracy?

US strongly engaged in election denial regarding Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye.

If not hating Russians and despising US foreign policy makes me a Russian troll, then yes.

If you like Russia's foreign policy of invading other countries, committing war crimes and conducting a sham referendum, then by all means leave. There are flights daily to Moscow via Frankfurt or London, and you can troll from there.

I'm with Big cypress and others - До свидания.

I'd have a better chance of convincing lefties to take Tucker Carlson seriously than you have of convincing anybody on the right to take this woman seriously.

I agree insofar as “the right” is limited to MAGA folks, who have no use for scholars. That’s not necessarily the case with conservatives. As for Tucker Carlson, only a fool would take him seriously, but a fool, by definition, could not comprehend that.

    Me too.

I'm so tired of election deniers who offer ZERO evidence to support their BS and reject off-hand all factual evidence that the election results were legitimate. They are a waste of time.

Life was pretty good until those with far too much time and far too little life felt the need to become very ignorant, irrational along with a heaping portion of cultness, ruined life for all Americans.
Democracy is rather simple within the framwork of the law but when everything is simply answered aa a conspiracy then we see what gets destroyed.

By the way, my wife (a soon to be US citizen) got her very first drivers license (ok learners permit) at an office in central Florida in a massively Republican voting county. She was told, by the clerk that she is eligible to vote. I said "she isnt an American citizen yet just a permanent resident so no she is not eligible" the clerk replied "well the computer says she is eligible" and began to take all her info to register. My wife was convinced it was okay. 100 percent sure Desantis would have had her arrested for it not for personal attention or grandstanding though :(

They were working underneath the house down the street from me this week, pulling out water damaged insulation. One of the workers crawls out with a portable radio blaring talk….. nuff said

So you think it was a free and fair election when Russian soldiers were literally knocking on the doors of voters and tabulating the results?

What is somewhat different is the election denialism of the party is a reaction to the demands of its constituents, not the reverse.
