I always think it is funny that the predictions we get on kids is based only on "right now" when signing day is never right now. Whatever anyone says about Cormani "right now" may change next week or next month. No one can read his mind but everyone tries and think they can. Someone telling me he feels good about Cormani today may make me sleep better tonight, and I don't care if it is Wolfbong, Wolfgang or The Werewolf from London. If he signs elsewhere in the end, many will scream about how we lost someone we never had, as if the kid is a couch or a lamp. I think all any school can hope for is showing a kid a lot of love and how that school can help that kid become a better college player, pro player, student, and person. Some kids are more thoughtful. Some superficial. The former will be turned on more by education, television , credibility, family feeling, fan and alum support, NIL building for a future. The latter will be turned on more by facilities and the ratio of women to men on campus, NIL and how easy school will be. NIL is the common denominator and I don't blame a kid for it. I don't know how CM thinks. I don't know what motivates him. A challenge, a chance to build something for the future, a legacy, newness? if so, I like us. Or is he a guy who defaults on a team that will be there in the end and get a lot of love from ESPN, SEC, etc--history? If so, Bama. I think he has been close to the vest, so I don't know his personality. I hope we can get more insight on that. Either way, he'll sign when he signs. I hope at some point if it is between us and Bama, he stops to think why UF would even be in the running against a perennial national championship contender and realizes it is because we are that special and the best all around school in the world for him.
All that can be summed up in one word. Recruiting. Personally speaking I enjoyed football much more when we were in the dark on most of this stuff until signing day. I check in here because access is right there when I check swampgas or other boards but it's more of a habit than a hobby now.
Rivals crystal ball had him as 100% chance of committing to UF, but looks like that dropped to 67% in the past few days. I'm a novice. Somebody tell me how accurate Rivals and their crystal ball typically is. 67% sounds promising, but I know Bama, OSU and Miami are still out there lurking. Making his 3rd visit to Bama on Friday, but he's already visited UF 6 times.
Rivals/247/On3/ESPN prediction stuff is really just them using intel to make a prediction. A lot of them though will throw anything out there to get attention but once the commitment date is closer, they all tend to wait until the head recruiting guru of said site drops his prediction and generally everyone else follows suit
Yeah, that's kind of what I figured. It seems somewhat flimsy to go from 100% to 67% in a matter of days. That said, if the visits count is accurate, it's promising he's made 6 visits to Florida. That may be what the 67% UF likelihood is being based on. It sure would be great to have him after watching our secondary get torched in Knoxville.
with him, if we can get him back on campus next weekend for the LSU game, then ill feel very good. He got a Bama OV this weekend though
when it's all said and done, one should remember that these "CBs" are made by journalists and journalists get paid for writing stuff, accurate or not. Much like the weatherman. It's like the journalist-in-training writing for GC proclaimed back in August how good Trey Dean was going to be. They get paid to write stuff, that's all.
There are 2 or 3 guys on Rivals who are very well connected and will only post crystal balls if they are very confident. It doesn't mean they're always right, or that things don't change, but if they post a crystal ball, there's usually something behind it. The rest of them are mostly just guessing or following the leaders.
I mean, I would LOVE for it to be cancelled lol but I just see a few Bama beat writers on Twitter including him as a visitor this weekend. Now, maybe the official visit is now an unofficial or he's not visiting all together, but we'll see. I hope he doesn't make it to Bama at all from here on out lol edit: I see what you're seeing about Money canceling his visit too. LET'S GOOOOOOOOO
I hope he just cancels is all together.. Lol. But yeah, right now who really knows what's going on with his possible visits/plans.
Bama twitter streets tryna say that asking him to come in December instead which is why he canceled which dont make a lick of sense. Why push his OV to December but not ask him to come this weekend even on an unofficial?
