I've often wondered if you lived in your parents basement. Pretty sure this confirms it.

    Some questions:

    1. what is the relevance to Italian grandparents? Is it because he turned his vision away from immigrants and the fact that immigrants literally built the backbone of this Country?

    2. “Naval Badass”. This has caused some confusion so perhaps you can help here(and to be clear I am not being condescending here, or at least on this point, in case I came across that way. I really want to know). On the one hand, I’ve seen DeSantis’ campaign ads that infers he was a Navy Seals commander. On the other hand, what I know is that DeSantis was actually in the JAGs corp, meaning he was a Navy lawyer. Does he have actual combat experience, or was he stationed in a combat territory where he rendered legal advice? By no means am I intending to denigrate Navy lawyers, but serving in a capacity as a lawyer rendering legal advice is a far cry to serving in combat.

    What’s the truth there?

    3. Yale Undergrad and Harvard JD. If this is really important to you, why is it that Obama and his wife are so inferior to the Right?

    4. Yale Baseball captain? I’m curious, and don’t know the answer. But what championships did Yale Baseball win under his captaincy?

By the way, Gerald Ford was a Michigan football star. Reagan was a great actor. Who was the better President?

You linked a vote on an amendment which is not a bill. Even the person that wrote the amendment, Mick Mulvaney said, "I hope the amendment passes so that I can vote for the bill." What was Desantis' vote on the actual bill?

For those that are wondering, here is the amendment that he voted AYE on

    Congressional Record

After section 904 (but before the short title), insert the
    following new section:
Sec. 905. (a) There is hereby rescinded an amount equal to
    1.63 percent of--
    (1) the budget authority provided (or obligation limitation
imposed) for fiscal year 2013 for any discretionary account
    in any fiscal year 2013 appropriation Act;
    (2) the budget authority provided in any advance
appropriation for fiscal year 2013 for any discretionary
account in any prior fiscal year appropriation Act; and
    (3) the contract authority provided in fiscal year 2013 for
any program that is subject to a limitation contained in any
fiscal year 2013 appropriation Act for any discretionary
    account.
    (b) Any rescission made by subsection (a) shall be applied
    proportionately--
    (1) to each discretionary account and each item of budget
authority described in such subsection; and
    (2) within each such account and item, to each program,
project, and activity (with programs, projects, and
activities as delineated in the appropriation Act or
accompanying reports for the relevant fiscal year covering
such account or item, or for accounts and items not included
in appropriation Acts, as delineated in the most recently
    submitted President's budget).
    (c) In the case of any fiscal year 2013 appropriation Act
enacted after the date of enactment of this section, any
rescission required by subsection (a) shall take effect
immediately after the enactment of such Act.
    (d) Within 30 days after the date of enactment of this
section (or, if later, 30 days after the enactment of any
fiscal year 2013 appropriation Act), the Director of the
Office of Management and Budget shall submit to the
Committees on Appropriations of the House of Representatives
and the Senate a report specifying the account and amount of
each rescission made pursuant to subsection (a).

And that amendment did not allocate any money for Hurricane Sandy relief but rather simply took money away from every other project. Which is the point. When he has a chance to vote for Hurricane Sandy relief, he voted no on this bill and no on the other bill.

Yes, he voted to amend the bill. When the bill came up for a vote he voted against it.
