You don't understand how these things work. That wasn't the vote on the bill. That was a vote on an amendment to the bill. The amendment was proposed by Mick Mulvaney. DeSantis voted against the actual bill.

 

That is roll call vote 14, which was a vote on an amendment sponsored by Rep. Mulvaney (which failed, BTW). When you say he voted for a bill, we usually mean for passage of the entire bill, which would have been roll call 23 on that bill. So, nope.

 

The amendment had to do with cutting spending elsewhere to pay for the relief bill. The amendment was the offset that repubs were demanding for Sandy aid that they didn't demand for aid for the 2017 hurricane that hit Florida.
