Interesting stat: 16 total receptions / 13 receivers. Nobody with more than 2 receptions.

Better than I expected for a rescheduled game on a Sunday. 1/3 of the state got hit with a serious storm. Much respect to those who still made it to the game to cheer for the team

We had a lot more than a U game..wonder what he was looking at..west stand was pretty full..east except at the top, was good..just top of NEZ was sparse...I think around 65000...it was a late arriving crowd..and many left after 3rd quarter..I thought it was a decent crowd considering everything...the u wishes they had today's crowd at their games

It's not the O that we're concerned about, looks like we're going to have to boat race other teams. Perhaps recruiting and portal help will the D down the road.

Florida is an incredibly inconsistent team on both offense and defense. They seem very boom or bust to me. High ceiling but low floor. I picked 7-5 to start the year and think that’s still the goal. But every single game is going to be a struggle one way or another. Just need to continue building that mental toughness. We can’t have a repeat of Kentucky.

My concern is our offensive line is NOT getting that level of push that we need to consistently need to have.
    Period.
The Kentucky & Tennessee games are proof.
I know this is gonna take some time.
But as a former offensive lineman, I long for the day where we can smash the other team's defensive line.
Give me Lomas Brown, Donnie Young. Crawford Kerr, etc.

I hear you and I think they still have room to improve. However, uk and ut gambled to stop our run game thinking AR wasn't good enough to beat them through the air.
Today, I thought our run game was good considering we allowed our opponent to eat clock and we threw the ball a lot. I thought the OL protected well but then again their D was horrible. We will need to play better the next several games up front for sure. Question, you played OL, for the Gators?

Score points and slow the other guys down is a recipe for more wins. Beware of Mizzou
because they've had our number more than once.

Feels like the offense is close to putting it all together. So much hinges on Richardson's development and confidence level.

The next 5 opponents' defenses are serious challenges with SEC size, speed and strength - no matter what their records or stats - it's a gauntlet.

If we had average SEC level defense and special teams* we'd have quite a team. It's been too long since we've been solid in a ll 3 phases of the game at the same time.

*thankful we have 2 good kickers

6-6 guys. Man some of you are going to jump off the parking deck if we finish 4-8 or 5-7. But it can happen not because of offense, but the defense. Have any of you even looked at the defense? We rank in the bottom 10 in several key indicators and against EW it was still glaring. EW moved the ball as well as they have against even high school teams they face. Miscues kept them from making the game interesting. I'm not saying we would have lost to them, but the score easily could have been 52-38. Their QB loved playing against our scout team. We might be a bit tougher than Towson St but his game against us erased the last 2 games against Oregon and Montana St where he had 288 yards combined with 5 TD passes and 3 INTs. So what was the difference between Oregon and us? The kid did well enough but Oregon had more 3 and outs than we had KOs. Can anyone say how many 3 and outs we had against EW? None. Tennessee? None. Kentucky? One. In fact, that's the key stat for this defense - number of 3 and outs. They rank dead last in the NCAA. We average a 3 and out once every 15 possessions. Bama averages a 3 and out every 4.5 possessions. They limit a good offense by not letting them get on the field and when they do aren't on the field long. Our defense allows the opposing offense to get far too many reps giving them the ability to get into a rhythm. As the game goes on, the defense gets worn down. I feel we have as good an offense as anyone, but the defense is where we go from 9-3 to 4-8.
